You would have to already be able to travel vast distances across the "heavens" to get to any of those supposed "doors to the heavens."

Except that there is no good reason to to believe that a god (or gods) exist in the first place. This is where the various purveyors of gods and their "message" fall down. There's no evidence of any of the gods having existed outside of the minds of our species.
