I have just been sent a link from a known woo source to a very iffy looking new movie called "The Secret" that's promising to deliver "A New Era for Mankind" (lucky us!).

I can't seem to find much information about it on Google, except for the movies own sales blurb/propaganda. It's apparently based upon a theory of a "Law of Attraction" and seems to be another "What the Bleep" type affair mis-representing quantum theory, etc.

Does anyone know anything about this?

Dammit, people! They have a Feng Shui Consultant explaining the Secret! What more evidence could you possibly want?!?

I would happily jump on Lisa, but she is a moderator and I don't want her to punish me. Well, okay, maybe a little B&D, but nothing that would cause my posting ability to be circum... erm... circumvented.

Give me a break. Most philosophers are secular. It would do good to have the public know that.

I watched it, I liked it. I remember paul mckenna briefly noted something like the law of attraction in one of his books. Athought its new agey but they try to mix quantum physics into it with one persons account I remember, which really annoyed me. They should call people who talk like that quantum mystics instead. This video is what people believe, not fact that is proven which is what it is being put forward as. Its a feel good movie I guess if you like this kind of thing.
