"The Secret"

A little bit da Vinci code, a little bit of Celestine Prophesy. The thing I don't like about New Age is that it often takes itself too seriously.

I personally really want to see a picture of Lisa Simpson.

* l0rca;2223218 waits for Tricky to jump on it.

He seems to be slacking so here she is.

Dammit, people! They have a Feng Shui Consultant explaining the Secret! What more...could you possibly want?!?

A tender yet powerful intergenerational love scene between Anne Hathaway and, oh, let's say Sela Ward?

From the Wikipedia site:

As put forth in the film, The "Law of Attraction" principle posits that our feelings and thoughts affect real events in the world, from the workings of the entire cosmos, to interactions among individuals in their physical, emotional, and professional affairs. The film also suggests that there was a conspiracy to keep this central principle hidden from the public. The previews or "clues" to the film show Charles F. Haanel having "uncovered The Secret... Like the great men before him...", and his book, The Master Key System focuses heavily on this concept which is one of the book's key themes. On the DVD commentary section, Rhonda Byrne, creator, explains that she got inspired to create The Secret after reading the 1910 classic The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles.

Emphasis mine. I wonder if there is some sly trolling going on on the Wikipedia page. If so, well done lads! If not, Jeebus H. Christ, lady!

Looks like the similar vapid nonsense put forth in What the Bleep Do We Know?

These people just don't give up.

If it takes itself seriously at all, it automatically takes itself too seriously. :)
