I am just interested in the exact details of where Osama was genotyped, the time frame, the comparisions and why media organisations jumped the gun.

Place information here, as it comes to hand.
 
DNA match was made. CBS news 7 to 8 minutes into broadcast. This was hours ago
Sometime this morning, DNA was matched. (as in the morning of Monday, USA EST)

Osama Bin Laden's death seems to only reinforce and confirm alot of truthers beliefs in terms of 911.

The fact that he was killed without being held for an international trial only serves to confirm the ideas of a cover up.

I fully understand and support why the US killed and buried his body at sea. Yet truther will not comprehend this and only see it as a cover up.

I predict that more fence sitters may be swung to the truther side.

ABC, more info - 99.9 percent it was UBL 10-12 minutes into ABC Monday night news.


NBC also, Monday night reported CIA matched DNA of the murderer UBL.

Bin Laden would have never surrendered and be taken alive, his death would make him a martyr to supporters. Just like the 9/11 hijackers, believing they would become martyrs. Truthers won't understand of course, since they refuse to believe al qaeda did 9/11.

Truthers aren't actually concerned with evidence or facts. I was arguing with one on Youtube who claimed Muslims don't have sea burials. I provided evidence they did, and he said he didn't need to click the link because he knew already. He knew something he had said was false. This didn't trouble him one bit.

If Osama had been found early in the War in Afghanistan, it would've been suspicious to them. Since he's found over nine years later, it clearly means the gov't killed him years ago and had the body hidden, and buried him at sea to keep The People from giving him an autopsy on US soil. If they had bought him to the States and given him an autopsy, Truthers would claim that the gov't was parading him around to distract The People from the Truth, and that the people giving the autopsy were compromised.

They'll just keep moving goalposts, the logical equivalent of a Jedi Mind Trick, and there are plenty of weak-minded.
 
Rational people know when "beyond a reasonable doubt" has been met. Most truthers don't know how to spell reasonable doubt.

This speaks to the real problem: that the U.S. military was the only organization in possession of the body between death and burial at sea, meaning that any DNA proof ultimately comes from them. Whatever is released, there will be those who refuse to believe it for lack of second-party confirmation.

The real problem is moving goalposts. If they had bought him back to the US, truthers just say the coroner was compromised. If they were allowed to actually see and touch the body, they'd say he had plastic surgery. They are never satisfied.

I have a tendency to support your assessment of "Truthers". What I am not reading or hearing is skepticism about the abruptness in disposing of the body and the reasoning behind it. If we were so concerned about following Muslim tradition, the landscape of Iraq and Afghanistan would be littered with Muslim graves dug by US service men and women.

Right now a true skeptic wouldn't have an opinion one way or another about the abruptness in disposing of the body or the reasoning behind it. I'm sure there is a reason for why they did that, and your--or my--reservations are probably irrelevant.

All I know is that doing things simply to shut up conspiracy theorists is not a viable way to handle the situation. Unless I see some evidence that it was not OBL that was killed, I can only assume that their decision to dispose of him in the way they did was a calculated move or even a promise to somebody who helped lead us to him.

As any skeptic should, I simply await further evidence that may or may not change my opinion on the subject.

I keep my comments on youtube about as absurd/feeble minded as possible because anything rational is immediately discarded as a NWO post.
 
People might want to wait until the dust settles. The story is already changing from earlier accounts.

Now Bin Laden was shot the the chest and head. Didn't use a human shield, didn't have any weapon.

President Obama decided Tuesday morning to release at least one photo showing Osama Bin Laden's death, a top source claims.

The images, being described as 'graphic', are bound to stir emotions in the east and the west, and will likely become the most viewed photographs in modern history.

One image shows a bullet wound to his head above his left eye.

Will it remove all doubt about the death?

The senior us official also says the White House received 3 sets of photos yesterday. The photos included:

1. Photos of OBLs body at a hangar after he was brought back to Afghanistan. This is the most recognizable with a clear picture of his face. The picture is gruesome because he has a massive open head wound across both eyes. It’s very bloody and gory.

2. Photos from the burial at sea on the USS Carl Vinson. Photos of OBL before the shroud was put on and then wrapped in the shroud.

3. There are photos of the raid itself that include photos of the two dead brothers, one of OBLs dead son (adult adolescent, maybe approx 18 yrs old) and some of the inside scene of the compound.

The official says the challenge is that the picture that includes the most recognizable image of OBLs face – from the hangar in Afghanistan – is so gruesome and mangled its not appropriate for say the front page of the newspaper. On the other hand, this is the one that is most identifiable as him.
 
I hope any photos of a dead OBL are more convincing then when the gov't released its Flight 77 video.
