I guess that leaves out John, too?

And upon which scriptures, exactly, do you base these beliefs?kurious_kathy said:Don't you get it. Jesus was the only man who ever lived that was holy. The sacrifice he made on the cross was the only one acceptable to God to make atonement for the sins of all mankind.
He is hoping all come to repent and accept what he did on the cross. It definately is a one on one with God when we reach this level of acceptance. We are all sinners save by grace. It seems pretty simple to understand and believe to me.
It is quite difficult to understand. Who makes the rules as to who goes to heaven and who does not? God, right? So if He really didn't want any to perish, he would not have set up the rules such that a certain number are bound to perish.kurious_kathy said:It seems pretty simple to understand and believe to me.
"He's not willing that any should perish."

Is it simple enough to explain? What is sin? Who created it? Is it real? What did Jesus' death really accomplish. Why didn't sin disappear? Did anything change? How is murder of your child a sign of love? Should more children be sacrificed to God. Did God send the recent Tsunami that wiped out thousands of children? If we sacrifice some kids ourselves will he keep the tsunamis from hitting us? Why did God do that if Jesus already paid? Are those kids in hell now, even though God is sad about it? Will they suffer eternally because their Mom took them to the beach one day? Is your God easy to love?kurious_kathy said:Don't you get it. ... Ahh the hypocricy.
Edited to change "hobbies" to "interests"

So who was he, really? And will this be anything but your opinion?kurious_kathy said:Did Buddah believe in Christ? Or was he trying to be Christ? Many people who think they are evolved say Christ is just a great teacher, not who he really is. What do you think?
Lisa Simpson said:I think that's a very prejudiced statement. Especially coming from a 'loving Christian'.

Anyways those are things I listed that I have an interest in. The term phsyco-babble was said in a slang type not condemning way, unlike the way you choose to communicate. And I never said phsycology was bad, I just think it can't stand on it's own. I would tell others a Christian Counselor would be the best way of mental health support. I believe we are more loving and accepting of others. Non- believers seem to be the ones that have an un-forgiving spirit. Maybe that's why we all need a savior? If we know his forgiveness then we can share it with others. Don't put me down, I am not an un-educated woman. Although I think you could use some enlightenment. Please don't be nausty to me!

Yeah, because you believe in a God that sentences people to hell if they don't jump through the right hoops. I guess it's unforgivingness by proxy.Kathy said:

The New and Old Testament are full of examples. Have you read scripture? Here's a couple examples:Marquis de Carabas said:And upon which scriptures, exactly, do you base these beliefs?
You are missing the point. If God gave Jesus as a gift so all can be redeemed, why not call on the name of the Lord. He hears the ones that call on him and has promised to save us. None of us deserve to go to heaven. " sinners saved by grace," remember? I think we are blessed if we will believe and receive his gift. I can't even imagine the pain he suffered to save us. We won't really know all the why's until we get there. I just want to share him with a world that needs to hear, he died for us. The gospel shouldon't be offensive. Seems it is?Paul C. You can describe it any way you like, but God's forgiveness is conditional. That's a strange way to be forgiving, don't you think? And the people who go around preaching that others will go to hell if they don't believe are leeching off this conditional forgiveness in the most grotesque way.Kathy said:
