The Gospel

yes phsyco babble too!

Now we're getting to it.

Kathy, did you perchance find God when you went off your meds? Some would call the way you're posting a manic episode.

Contrary to what Tom Cruise says, chemical imbalances are very real.

Did you ever endevour in the studies of the end times.
It is said many will abandon the faith, but that does not make it right?
If you left your first love I feel sorry for you. Jesus is my #1 priority in life and will remain so." Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness then the rest will be added. I don't want anything if it doesn't come from his hand.
Don't you feel remorseful for abandoning the faith. I could never do that knowing the truth and being set free now!
Power over my demons you might say.
So. are you following all the commandments of Jesus?

You know, the ones like giving all your stuff away and going the extra mile?

And don't forget about dusting off your feet, and hitting the trail when you are not welcomed into a home...

Buddhists, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Wiccans, etc--all go to Hell?

That's a big ten four. Or do people need to be hit over the head with a 2x4 before they wake up like me?
Jeusus is the only way to the Father!! That one truth saved my life in more ways than I could even possibly tell you.
It's the miracle of salvation and it's real, He is alive and wants to build his temple in each of us. Transformation! Free to live life more abundantly. I get excited when I see what he has done and continues to do. Changing lives for the better, not the worse. That's why I don't get why people take the gospel as an offense?

Then your god is fundamentally evil. As are you for thinking such a "punishment" is just.

Answer this question: Is it ok for Saddam Hussien to torture, rape and kill people who are disloyal to him?

That's why I don't get why people take the gospel as an offense?

This proves you're a bigot. Many people have told you that they don't find the gospel offensive yet you continue to hold to that prejudiced opinion. You're a fine christian example.

What kind of God would damn all those other people to hell even if they had lived moral lives? Why do you want to worship such a cruel and callous being?

Do you even know the definition of the word bigot. I don't think you do? And who are you to juge, that's God's job not ours.
I have been turned around from what I would call darkness to light. Does not make me a bigot? I am not judging anyone!
I am just trying to share through my own painful experience that I had to discover, for myself as each of us does. And now I do believe there is absolute truth!
And what does Saddam have to do with me? The guy is totally given in to the dark side and I can't understand why God hasn't done something with him yet myself? I hate evil and there is way too much of it going on out there?

Kathy, would you say your commitment to religion helps you to face your demons, or does it keep them at bay?

Yes you actually are judging people. Yes you actually are a bigot.

You may hate what you think is evil, but I doubt you even have the moral compass to understand what evil is. You are a blind sheep, and if someone told you to kill infidels i have no doubt you would.

P.s. are you going to answer my question? Did you find God when you went off your meds?

Edited to add:

From dictionary.com:

big·ot ( P ) Pronunciation Key (bgt)
n.
One who is strongly partial to one's own group, religion, race, or politics and is intolerant of those who differ.

n.
A prejudiced person who is intolerant of any opinions differing from his own

It's my relationship with Christ, not my religion. He took all my fear and doubt away. I know I can't fight them. I had to grab hold of,"Greater is he that is in me, than he who is in the world!"

It's time for another recipe, but this time, we'll stay at least marginally near the topic...

Unleavened Communion Wafers

1/2 tablespoon sugar
1/4 cup soy flour
1/4 cup potato starch
1/4 cup brown rice flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon white Crisco
1/2 tablespoon butter-flavored Crisco
1 1/2 tablespoons gluten-free honey
1/4 cup water

Preheat oven to 350°.
Mix dry ingredients well.
Cut in Crisco and honey.
Add water in small amounts and mix well.
Spread dough in a 1/4 inch thick layer in a 9 inch pan.
Bake for 10 minutes. Cool.
Cut wafer into pieces measuring 1 to 1 1/4 inches by 1/2 inch

Mmmmmmmm...body of Christ.

I thought enlightenment was a buddhist concept.

Ok, so your relationship with Christ, would you say it helps you to face your demons, or does it keep them at bay?

You seem to be the one who wants to play God here? I am not judgemental of others, I examine my own heart as God tells us to do so. Each and everyone of us needs to be honest about ourselves and with eachothers. So don't critisize me. That's evil and seems to be mean spirited, when one opens up and shares with you. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ.

And yes I will answer you qu's about meds. God took me off them completely in 3 days. Lets face it this is a quick fix society and Western Medicine has overmedicated the heck out of us. I was on pain meds and anti-depressants after going through some tough times.
The amazing thing is I was able to believe God was able, and he is! I still have some pain from my back surgery 6 years ago and dealing with 3 bad disks in my neck, but I no longer take mind altering meds for that! I believe my faith has made me whole, so why do you put me down for my belief? Does not seem you really care.

Are you saying chemical imbalances don't exist? What was your diagnosis? Your actions seem very much in line with a manic episode. Have you consulted your doctor about going off meds?

We can't earn our way there. It's by God's grace alone. I'm not going to argue with him about that one. I just try to stay open and pray that he will save others. I really hate the idea of anyone going to eternal damnation myself. And yet when I was saved I really felt I was faced with going before him and him having to say to me,"depart from me I never new you." It still makes me cry.

Doesn't seem you really care either. You go on and on about everything you got from God, all the peace and wholeness and whatnot, but you don't seem to give a thought about other people. All the heathens who never heard of Jesus, or who had but didn't believe, they're all going to suffer for eternity, because God made the rule that Jesus is the only way to heaven. But that's okay, right? Because you feel AWESOME and secure and safe.

You're not? So when you say that buddhists, muslims, pagans, ect. are going to hell you're not judging?

I am just trying to share through my own painful experience that I had to discover, for myself as each of us does. And now I do believe there is absolute truth!

The fact that you have to believe in absolute truth is proof that there isn't any.

And what does Saddam have to do with me?

Answer the question.

The guy is totally given in to the dark side

He is? But he behaves in the exact same manner as your god. How you can consider that the dark side?
