The Freeman Movement and England

A 1.5 hour long video. Hmm... no. Why don't you tell us what thought-provoking points it raises?

...I suggest you guys have a listen to kanadian philosopher Stefan Molyneux.
For what I'm concerned he deliveres the points across the best, for he's well articulated and at the same time entertaining. Any of his "FreedomainRadio" shows are very thought provoking, but for the sake of this threat (which at core is all about freedom) I would suggest this particular video (1.5 hours): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=va1rEbRbBDQ (External youtube video blah blah blah, same disclaimer as always).

But please only bother if you have time to watch the full speech and if you are open to openly discuss the points of argument without getting personal.

Why is it promoters of this stuff can never simply list their arguments and present their evidence but instead send us off to watch hours long youtube videos? And of course, always with the implied condition that you'd agree if you watched all that propaganda, and that if you don't then you never watched it to begin with.

How about you succinctly present the top 3 ideas of the Freeman movement and link your evidence that supports them? Well, that might mean you get responses and get debunked, but otherwise no one except believers is going to watch that...

It's "Canadian". With a "C". As in citizen of Canada.

Oh, and philosophers don't operate crank websites out of Mississauga where they charge membership fees to dispense "wisdom" via podcasted speeches and attempt to seduce followers. That's what sophists do.

Here, READ some philosophy that explains this:

I love the fact that the guy spends two paragraphs trying to flatter himself in his bio over his masters degree on his website....oh the vanity. I might at least have had a little bit of respect for him if he had a doctorate (no matter how crazy you may be, if you earned a PhD from a real university you have some level of persistence/drive to get things done this is admirable), but master's degrees? It wouldn't bother me if he didn't obsess over it on his own website...

And actually, this guy wouldn't get along with FMOTLers at all if you read the website. FMOTLer propaganda comes from the assumption that there is some vast God-given "common law" which has no relationship to the actual common law and is really a proxy for some badly misunderstood natural law concept, but looking at the titles of the podcasts the guy doesn't seem to be a big believer in God....or the idea that you have some natural "god given power" to simply decline consent to any law you don't like. I am probably more likely to agree with this guy despite his personality, but I don't see any support for FMOTL here.

Oh my god, I finally listened to one of his podcasts and he actually introduces himself a Stephan Molyneux, M.A. Who does that?

What points of argument do you think are pertinent?

When you say he's well articulated are you implying that he's some form of segmented creature?

I like how he brags about getting an "A" on his thesis. Congrats, ya putz! You landed right in the centre of the masters degree bell curve. Try for excellence next time!

My best guess is that this and other videos does not have any clear points.
They just weave around some generalities sounding a bit freeloader like.

A good measure of whether somebody have understood an idea is their ability to explain it clearly to others.

(I doubt any of this is news to you. :) )

this will add to his reputation as a "guru" because the barn-pots will see an attack on him via the press as an attempt to shut him up because he speaks the truth and is revealing the NWO secret agendas.
You have to give it to them for always seeing the positive

I can just imagine the writer laughing himself silly while writing the final line of the article:

Mr. Molyneux meanwhile says he wants to devote less time online. His wife is pregnant and due this month.

Just imagine what this kid's teenage years are going to be like!

To be true to his "philosophy", he'll have to convince his own kid to leave the prison of his own family.

*********** ironic.

Seagoon: "Who are you, sir?"
Bloodnok: "I've got it on a bit of paper here. Let's have a look.... oh yes! Major Dennis Bloodnok, late of the third Disgusting Fusilliers OBE, MT, MT and MT."
Seagoon: "What are all those MTs for?"
Bloodnok: "I get tuppence on each of them."

From Napoleon's Piano.

That's to be expected from a group that considers convictions, fines and jail to be victories in court.

All I can say is 5 stars for the responses on me mimicking Mr. Stefan Molyneux, MA. I think this one is the winner though:

So you admit to being a Sheeple.

Will the FMOTLers listen to me because I have more degrees than Mr. Molyneux, now? Maybe that's what we've been missing everyone. When you post on the CT forums apparently all we have to do to get them on our side is list degree letters after our name.

I would, but honesty would force me to use my one degree, BS, and well we all know where that would lead.
