Seperating the chaff from the chaff. If successful, this project should do a nice job of separating the sincere inerrantists from the nationalists.

It is possible that Conservapedia is being Poe'd ... I'd have done this if I'd thought of it.
The bible's sacred. They're just making it more sacred.I never realized Jesus was a communist, but then again you "learn" all sorts of silly things from a Schlafly project.
If you have to rewrite the Bible to conform with your agenda then why even try to use the Bible? Not so sacred if you can rewrite to match your beliefs.
How inconvenient for a free market capitalist to deal with.31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
35 And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.
36 And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,
37 Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
Schlafly apparently disagrees. I note that his Wiki style approach seems to overlook an expertise standard for the input. The Bible's roots in a dizzying variety of ancient manuscripts require a lifetime of dedication to master, said the Rev. Frank Matera, a professor at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and a former president of the Catholic Biblical Association of America.
"There's a little Italian proverb, 'Every translator is a traitor,'" Matera said. "Most Bible translations are usually done by a group of scholars, precisely so they can balance out each other. It's not something that everybody can do."
We all make god in our own image.
We all make god in our own image.
What does that say about people who think God is 'evil'?
I'm not sure what it says. I guess it would depend on the individual. Generally speaking there will be some who is repulsed by God, and there will be others who will find that is a reflection of their own nature.
There is good and evil in everyone, so if someone sees only good in God, then do you think that means they are repressing their own evil?

The conservative Christians say current editions are too "liberal".
Also "The poor you will always have with you."
Sorry, not liberal unless quoted out of context.
Conservapedia founder Andrew Schlafly will be interviewed on the Colbert Report on Tuesday apparently. No doubt the Conservative Bible Project will be covered. Could be good for a few laughs. If you can see it![]()
