Cont: The Biden Presidency (4)

That was one of the weaker deflections I've seen here at the ISF. 2/10.

Also, the laptop is one of the reasons for his conviction. His impulses to video and photograph his illegal criminal drug use was used against him in court.

You’re confusing a lack of interest for deflection. But again, congrats. It’s definitely convinced me not to vote for Hunter Biden.

It's interesting and very, very revealing (but not surprising) how the right-wing is presenting Trump's 34 felony convictions and Hunter's 3 felony convictions. According to them, Trump's conviction was “the weaponization of our justice system,” "a witch hunt," "a sham," "the US justice system 'hunts Republicans while protecting Democrats',” “state-sponsored political persecution,” "an outright mockery of the rule of law," and "a terrible day for America and for trust in our justice system,”.

After Hunter's conviction yesterday, “The true crimes of the Biden Crime Family remain untouched. This is a fake trial trying to make the Justice system appear ‘balanced.’ Don’t fall for it,” “They went after Hunter on his gun stuff to make you overlook all his Ukraine stuff,” “This trial has been nothing more than a distraction from the real crimes of the Biden Crime Family, which has raked in tens of millions of dollars from China, Russia and Ukraine,” “Crooked Joe Biden’s reign over the Biden Family Criminal Empire is all coming to an end on November 5th, and never again will a Biden sell government access for personal profit,” "It’s trying to create that illusion of equal justice under the law,” “They want you focused on the shiny little object of Hunter’s gun so you’re not focused on the Bidens making bank selling out America,” etc.

True to form, these idiots had even more stupid things to say:
“We have gone over a cliff,” Fox News host Jeanine Pirro said shortly after Trump was found guilty. “This is a new era in America, and I think it goes against the ilk of who we are as Americans and our faith in the criminal justice system.”

But on Tuesday after the jury delivered its guilty verdict, Pirro applauded the Delaware judge - a Trump appointee - for her handling of the Hunter Biden case.

“This is a no-nonsense judge who took this case, showed America how a case worked and moved it right from opening statement to verdict,” she said.

Virginia Rep. Bob Good, who leads the hard-right House Freedom Caucus, offered a similar assessment.

“Hunter Biden is convicted of an actual crime. Donald Trump was railroaded by a political prosecutor and a biased judge,” he posted on X.

Meanwhile, Mark Levin, the right-wing talk radio personality and Fox News weekend host, wrote that Biden was convicted “in a real trial (not a farce like Manhattan).”

They are so delusional.

Never again will a Biden sell government access! That's for Trump and Republicans to do!

They want you not to focus on the Bidens making bank selling out America! The billions that the Trump family got for selling out America are fine, though!

Sadly, I'm not particularly convinced that delusional is the proper word for that behavior, though, given Republican political behavior. People knowingly working to trick others generally don't qualify as delusional, after all, even if they spout wild fantasies and falsehoods.

Apparently at least three jurors in the Hunter case have spoken with the media, as opposed to zero from the Trump case. Gosh, it almost as if one side loves to use schochastic terrorism and the other let’s justice run it’s course.

Yep, Hunter Biden is guilty of buying a gun and owning it for 11 days while being a drug addict. He also a guy who took pictures of his dick.

Whereas Trump is guilty of screwing a porn star just after his wife gave birth. He also paid her off to hide it from voters so he could win an election.

And he wants to be the next president of the United States Of America.

It staggers me that anyone thinks positively about Donald Trump. The more awful he is the more some people like him.

Actually that is the most astonishing thing to me. How can so many smart people fall for such a con. And also commit crimes for him.

That's what you'll get for posting unpopular facts here. The tendency is to bury or flat out deny anything that could be seen as unpopular for Biden. (with a good dose of gaslighting thrown in)

It is nice to know the Hunter Biden laptop is decidedly NOT Russian disinformation. The laptop has and will be used by the Justice system to prosecute crimes. (Once they're legally able to do so)

Some conveniently forget that during the 2020 election Biden claimed Hunter's laptop was "Russian disinformation". Those same individuals also seem to have trouble remembering that Joe Biden acquired 50 or so signatures from "former Intelligence officials" also stating the laptop was Russian disinformation.

That's election interference and conspiracy to commit election interference plain and simple. 2025 will likely be an interesting year. I think it's good that Democrats have set the precedent that prosecuting former Presidents is perfectly fine and dandy. Bless them.

Seems like your speculation on what the contents of the laptop are essentially is purely what you fantasise it might have....do you have any inkling of what is in there?

I have no idea what Chris is talking about. Over and over and over again this nonsense has been investigated and absolutely nothing has come from it. In the mean time, the arsonist returned to the scene of the crime today. The convicted felon visited the Capitol where the do nothing Republican Congress got in line to felch Trump.

I have no idea what Chris is talking about.

Actual events, but with problematic alterations and problematic logic.

Biden claimed that Hunter's laptop was Russian disinformation? Alright. Even if he was wrong, there's still questions about whether he knew that was false and the nature of that lie. Certainly, it's overwhelmingly less problematic than so very many of Trump's lies that Chris seems to want to embrace. Even if it was a knowingly false statement, were THAT to count as election interference, Trump would deserve many, many convictions.

51 former intelligence officials did sign a statement that described what we were actually able to hear having "all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation." To be clear, they were correct. Much of the reason for that can be directed at Guiliani, quite frankly, and his embarrassing and wildly incompetent handling of the matter. Those hung up on Hunter's hard drive never seem to want to put the blame where it actually should lie for that, though, and instead make farcical accusations with little grounding in reality.

ChrisBRFPKY's accusations of election interference and conspiracy to commit election interference are inane and unreasonable, but they're not based in reason in the first place, so that's not likely to stop him from embracing them.

Assumption not in evidence. It has always been a possibility that the physical laptop belonged to Hunter Biden, was acquired by Russian intelligence, had false information added to it, and was then given to the blind computer repairman. This would mean that it was both Hunter Biden's laptop AND a Russian disinformation ploy.

This possibility has been consistently ignored by right-wingers, just as you will ignore it, as it doesn't get them where they want to go.
