The Biblical Realities of Hell

There are many scientists who are now abandoning the Darwinian understanding and reengaging their faith.
It’s because they are smarter than you or I .

So whom am I supposed to believe here you or them?

Wow! Many scientists. Oh my!

Do you really think the percentage of scientists who reject evolution is increasing?

I gave up on you all a long time ago, years ago, I am here to support the more difficult side of the debate.
I will admit that you do have the more difficult side of the debate, however, that is because the side you have chosen is irrational and has no evidence. If you really wanted to be on the winning side, you wouldn't have chosen the one you did.

That is very true because I am not an astronomer and I don't work for NASA and I am not a scientist, I am only gleaning the information.
The same thing you are not a Christian and have not taken it one step further to see if it is true beyond what is known.
I have faith that scientists are right just as I have faith that God reveals himself to believers because I have faith in what is known about Christ mostly and some of what is written about God before Christ.
You cannot apply science to test the spiritual, just as you can't use the bible to apply the scientific method, till you get to information and the word of God.
Science is information that allows us to learn about God, all information is word.
Lee Strobals; Case For The Creator, pretty much sums it up.

From a knowledge of

Let's straighten this out. Religion makes two types of claims. One type is about the nature of the soul, the features of heaven, the abilities of angels. None of these claims is testable in any way whatsoever. The other type of claim is testable. So when the Bible says, that asking for things in Jesus's name will result in those things happening, science can test the claim. In fact, science has tested that claim and found that it is BS. As is the claim that prayer can heal people. Science tested that claim and found it was BS. And the claim that there was a world-wide flood. Science tested that claim and found it to be BS as well.

In fact, the clear majority of claims the Bible makes about the real world are BS.

So we are left to wonder, if the Bible gets so much wrong in describing this world, then why should we think it got anything right when describing the next world?

To prove science is superior to God is that it?
What you are missing is that… if God is there then all science comes from God… if not, then science won’t save you for long, maybe… I don’t know 80 years.
I have faith in science but all of my faith, along with normal everyday faith is with and on God…

I have no faith in science, that is only for those that don't understand how the method of science works. It is a way to find information about the universe and to test ideas that can make predictions about it. There is no faith needed.

And as for faith in a god that can be anything you want it to be, one only can learn how much one can lie to their self. Well you don't, but we do.

I guess I'm a bit too late; Tricky gave the same answer I would have, almost word-for-word:

I will admit that you do have the more difficult side of the debate, however, that is because the side you have chosen is irrational and has no evidence. If you really wanted to be on the winning side, you wouldn't have chosen the one you did.

Is the right room, I thought we were talking about hell and spirituality?
There are many scientists who are now abandoning the Darwinian understanding and reengaging their faith.

There are not many sciencist that are abandoning evolution. Darwin got some things wrong, and he pointed out that he didn't have all the information that he needed at the time, and it is in his book. But the main idea of his is true and only the religious that think it is OK to lie for their poor idea of a god say that BS.

Dangerous Mindset

Edge is the same kind of dangerous believer as those who kill others because of their religious faith. His religious beliefs render him incapable of the rationality it takes to understand the dangers of his kind of mindset, let alone effectively debate his beliefs.

He would try to defend his murdering someone if his religious belief made it something holy to do.

After all, all he'd have to do is ask his god's forgiveness for murder. Isn't that right Edge? Oh wait, no... you wouldn't need your god's forgiveness - it was something you believed was allowed by your god...

I think you might be characterizing Edge's views on religion. While there are fundamentalists that clearly fall into the category you describe, Edge is most assuredly not a fundamentalist. Rather than try to explain the details of what Edge believes, I would ask that he, himself, explain why he would not follow the reasoning you describe.

Oh no I understand.
The reason you don't believe is that you don't understand the concept of the real God.
Why in the world would God need men to do his bidding in the aspect of killing off the evil?
Taking out the ones that are truly and utterly vile?
In yellow above: You mean to tell me that you think I am like Osama or one of the suicide bombers?
That way bears no fruit, Jesus spoke of this in a parable, look it up and re-study, because many say they do these things in the name of God, but that is a lie.

Same thing is done today.:)

Ok But I have to walk Odie first.

We understand the concept of the real god very well,i.e., a mythical being who only exists in the imaginations of the deluded.

That is just so silly to think that other people are clueless to your idea of a god and that is why they don't accept it because of that. It is because we do understand your idea of one and that is why we don't buy into it. And not only that, it doesn't tell us anything about anything for starters, gods only add an unneeded layer to our understanding. God’s are worthless and that is why many that have gone into any real detail about what has been learned about the universe have dropped them. Gods only show the limitations of the believer and nothing more to me. After over 50 years of hearing only words trying to be used as if they were facts and explained the prove of a god, I’ve only seen the need for the speaker to have one and nothing more.

And as for a hell, is that treat of it the best your so-called idea of a god can do to keep his loved people in line, than it is yours to keep, have fun with it.

Looks like a Shepherd/Collie mix. Who's the one growing out of the top of his head? Mauser the Schnauzer bids them good day.

Anyway, we seem to have strayed a bit from the biblical realities of hell. Were you going to provide evidence of something that would convince a skeptic? Evidence of hell, God, heaven, soul, God healing an amputated arm. Anything like that?
