The All Purpose Jill Stein Thread

I've read all the same statements you have, and I don't think it is as clear as you seem to think that she is claiming the FDA is responsible for the recommendations.
At any rate, even assuming you are correct and she is not aware of the recommendation process, I don't think that automatically makes her "anti-science", any more than it makes me "anti-science" for knowing nothing about the subject (although, granted, I would certainly learn about it if it were a big part of my political platform!)

You read the statements.

I practice in the infectious disease field and give more than a thousand vaccines every year. Stein's statements demonstrate ignorance of the evidence based medicine that guides vaccine use in this country.

Period.

You're wrong! (and your argument from authority is pathetic)
Exclamation Point!

Can you provide any evidence to support Stein's claims as they relate to vaccines? For example, are there any vaccines that shouldn't be on the recommended list that are only there because of phrama interests? Are any of the recommendations actually untrustworthy? If not, what was her point? Did she just do the standard politician non-answer by spinning it to another point she actually wants to discuss?

Ignorance of the issue for Stein, a medical doctor, doesn't seem like much of a defense. Perhaps someone should challenge her on her statements. The wifi thing is simply straight up anti-science though and don't know how anyone can spin it otherwise unless they too buy into that kind of woo. The GMO altering our DNA...I mean...no way to spin that one either besides 'she's just pandering and doesn't believe that'.

So, Stein's running mate is a real loon who thinks Bernie is an imperialist tool.

Lol. Why does he want to be Vice-President of “This corrupt, degenerate, white supremacist monstrosity called the United States.”

Stein's VP choice: Ajamu Baraka. Excellent choice. I hope the shillaries will dig up a little "dirt" on him and show how "nutty" and "unelectable" he is, so that some black voters will realize how much Killary is not in their interest. :)

Excellent, folks, keep them coming.

[...] In their desperate attempt to defend Sanders and paint his critics as dogmatists and purists, the Sanders supporters have not only fallen into the ideological trap of a form of narrow “left” nativism, but also the white supremacist ethical contradiction that reinforces racist cynicism in which some lives are disposable for the greater good of the West.

And as much as the ‘Sandernistas ’ attempt to disarticulate Sanders “progressive” domestic policies from his documented support for empire (even the Obamaite aphorism “The perfect is the enemy of the good” is unashamedly deployed), it should be obvious that his campaign is an ideological prop – albeit from a center/left position – of the logic and interests of the capitalist-imperialist settler state. After Bernie's endorsement of Killary these paragraphs might have more meaning to his ex-followers. The mentioned Yemen war is now in its seventeenth month and the Saudis have stopped pretending that they are interested in a diplomatic solution the UN tried to broker. Instead the fronts are clearer than ever, with a strengthened Houthi/Saleh coalition that consists of the vast majority of Yemenis now increasingly invading Mordor Saudi Arabia instead of the other way around, while the US still does some extrajudicial murders of "AQ/ISIS" targets while selling the Sauds every hardware they need to murder Yemenis from the sky with a bit of logistical advice here and there. Update here.

I finally listened to some of her convention speech today. If she reaches 1%, it will be due to ballot confusion with old people or something. I'd rather listen to Hillary! discussing some arcane policy points.

Baraka interviewed on counterpunch radio, yesterday.

This week Eric welcomes back to the show writer, activist, and now US Vice Presidential candidate from the Green Party, Ajamu Baraka. The conversation gives some insight into Ajamu's background, and the experiences that shaped his politics and worldview, making into the renowned human rights leader that he is. Eric does not shy away from the smear campaign being waged by liberal corporate media against Ajamu, instead taking the opportunity to discuss with him the mental illness of contemporary liberalism - or is it corporate imperialism? Po-tay-to, po-tah-to. They also explore the development of the Green Party in a radical direction, the importance of non-electoral community-based programs and networks, the existential crises facing all of us today, and the necessity of developing a true political resistance immediately. Another great conversation with the inimitable Ajamu Baraka.
