The All Purpose Jill Stein Thread

What it proves is that Democrats are still nuts over Clinton, despite the fact that she's unpopular with everybody else.

Are you attempting to claim or pretend that Stein is popular with...well, anybody? Stein is polling at an average of 4%, or 1/10th of Clinton's poll numbers. That doesn't seem like Stein is popular.

Yes, but Stein's 4% like her very much, and Clinton's 96% only tolerate her as the remaining lesser evil. If votes were counted by depth of feeling Clinton wouldn't stand a chance!

Here ya go.

That's no different than the article I addressed already. A physician who says vaccine recommendations are overly influenced by drug manufacturers is a physician who hasn't taken the time to look into just what goes into vaccine research and recommendations, something incredibly important for someone who is running for POTUS given the public health and public policies involved.

Instead Stein simply lumped the issue into an oversimplified generalization that there is a corporate world government conspiracy.

IOW, not very informed on the issue at all.

You mean like the "everyone else" that Gallup polled who think Clinton is the woman they most admire in the world 20 years running?

It's a good thing we have a system of one person one vote then.

You forgot that nobody here is dumb enough to misunderstand my point the way you pretended to do. Here, FTFY:

Exactly.

I'm going to guess that English isn't your first language, because your "fix" doesn't make sense.

When you have some evidence that Stein is popular, I would love to see it.

I agree with Stein that there should ranked choice voting. It would make this election a lot less terrifying. And given the state of technology, 'being complicated' is not an excuse not to have it. I agree with her that the only reason it hasn't been instituted is that the main parties realize they would be screwed by it.

Stein is popular because nobody knows who she is? That's a new definition of popular.

This is pretty common in third party world. The key is that nobody knows who she is to a significant degree so she enjoys an illusion of purity. Usually when third party candidates are examined closely, the results are pretty grim. If Stein were to be examined to the same extent that Hillary has been examined, I'd bet that Stein would come off at least as bad as Hillary. Jill's only saving grace, if you call it that, is that she has no experience in government.

Seems to be working out pretty well for Trump...

Alternatively, it could be said that Stein's only saving grace is that so few people know or care about her candidacy that no one bothers to examine her positions or record, much less have a decades long negative campaign of disinformation against her.

Their situations are hardly identical. Trump has a public profile so all his warts are out there to see, where Stein is still completely obscure and has no track record of running much more than her failed political campaigns.

Pretty much the point I was making exactly. I'm afraid if I were to dig into her past the same I did with Michael Badnarik in 2004, the results would be somewhat similar. Probably not as bad this time as Badnarik was a true dumpster fire, but who knows.
