It isn't a child and as I've said it isn't murder. Use all the emotive language you want, it won't change reality.

The reality is that it is human from conception. No other living thing has the same DNA. The issue is whether it is sufficiently developed to have a right to live independently of the wishes of the carrier and that is largely a legal/technical issue.

As for the Texas law, it is symptomatic of the malaise that is inflicted on the US where the courts conspire to nullify the bill of rights using legal technicalities.

Murder is not exactly "emotive" language, imo, when accurate. I mean, how else can one characterize it? Exterminating life? What do you expect? Look at the photo that Stacy provided.
 
It isn't murder. It barely counts as killing when it's non viable. Murder is exactly emotive language meant to curry sympathy.

It also isn't a human. It is human but it isn't A human.

I remember one time when I was preparing a cake. All of the ingredients were perfect, almost as though crafted by divine intervention. I decided I didn't want a cake, 5 minutes after it went in the oven.

People asked why I threw it away. I told them, "it wasn't viable". Only the Dems in the group understood.

If Republicans or Evangelicals gave a **** about avoiding abortions, they would make sure there is great sexual education in school and easy access to birth control and female health care.
But since the point is to point at someone you don't like and shout "baby murderer!" , they won't do what would actually prevent abortions.

I remember one time when I had some repubs over to visit, they saw that I had all the makings for a cake. They insisted that I bake the cake, even though I had no desire to so. I tried to stop a few times, but they said that the cake was going to be so perfect, and I couldn't stop anyways as the oven was pre-heated (And that is all ovens did was bake cakes).

In the end they wanted nothing to do with my cake, and forced me to eat it all so it wouldn't 'go to waste'. They even refused to take any for later because it was all my responsibility.

That's when I realized that repubs are horrible people, and that their idea of analogies are frankly stupid.

It's not about preventing pregnancies, it's about shaming women for having sex.

Either you posted a picture of a human foetus or one of a foetus of some other animal (maybe not even a foetus).

If the former then your argument "it isn't human therefore I any choice I make doesn't matter" still doesn't wash and if the latter then - childish.

Nobody is shaming women for having sex. They oughta spread them legs as much as they want. But they have a higher level of accountability, since they can produce life. What an awesome gift that is.
