ten foot tall sasquatch

ten feet tall. wow.so about what 7 800lb..whats it been eating..it would have to just sit on it arse all day eating.just to have enough energy to sit on its arse all day eating.lol as of course bigfoot experts will tell you.they mostly eat fruit and berries. unless its as one youtuber claimed recently, that bigfoot kills deer by throwing stones at them lol...am not sure if he was implying they used a catapult,or were just really good at rock throwing..maybe its one of them invisible predator clan bigfoot that ive read about on here. the ones that are totally invisible..

let's face it, you would-be comedians; there is simply no way to gild the lilly of the story of a ten foot tall bigfoot with 21 inch feet.

He says the beast was approaching his dogs and got wrapped around their chains.

"I rough-talked him and said, 'You get away from here,'" he said.

Peeler says the beast eventually left, but then came back again.

Well, given his earlier description of its' 'beautiful' yellow hair and beard*, I'd have thought he would have smooth-talked the thing.

*Hope he never goes to Scandinavia, he'd have a meltdown.

This guy ain't afraid of nuthin'..ten foot tall..and he's tellin' him to GIT..guess he didna thaink uf takin' no picture...sure this goodlookin' Bigfoot fella woulda posed fer sure...aw shucks.his shotgun weren't loaded either I guess.. Guess he'll come back agin next week fer 'nuther looksee......:eye-poppi

...but more and more I'm noticing a correlation between belief in bigfoot and belief in God of the Bible.

We've been pointing it out in this forum for a number of years now.

Bader and Mencken recently found by survey that a lot of Bigfoot believers are evangelical Christians. IMO, this is why the BFF had to put a "no religion talk" rule into place... because so many Bigfooters are aggressive and fervent religious fundamentalists.

Why do so many bigfoot advocates also seem to have strong religious underpinnings?

Meldrum, Higgins, Huntster, etc. etc.

This article touches on it, but more and more I'm noticing a correlation between belief in bigfoot and belief in God of the Bible.

I must admit some years ago this came as a surprise to me. Most of the enthusiasts of fringe subjects I met before were quite deep in to esoterism, contra culture and would reject Biblical fundamentalism.

Really not sure on the reasons. Was this just a case of sampling bias?
Or nowadays there's something about bigfoot which attracts people with this profile?

That is why the "Humans did not evolve from apes" comment from Hairy Man evoked such great moral support amongst the footers. Kitakaze typically evokes a response from many footers, but he was so right on that, that the lack of verbal response reminded me of stunned silence.

I was also thinking about the 12' tall sasquatch, and just how freaking big that would be.

And we can't get a bead on one...

It makes sense. If you are really able to believe in Sky Daddy, something as mundade as Bigfoot should be easy.

I wonder if the same correlation can be found with other religions, in the countries where they predominate?

It is what i call the woo snowball. You very seldom have someone that believes in one kind of woo. Why? Once you accept a lowered standard of evidence for one thing, your are more likely to accept a lower standard of evidence for other things. And on and on it goes, untill your 75 wearing a tinfoil hat, a protective pentagram, and stockpiling weapons for the NWO takeover.

You know, I totally 'get' the bigfoot thing. You get to walk around in the forest, stare at puddles and measure dents in the muck, and still feel like you're ahead of everyone else... then you go on the internet and there's instant acceptance and camraderie with fellow bigfooters... you share your bigfoot war stories with each other and have 'academic' discussions about what bigfoot eats... you've got something fun to think about if other aspects of your life aren't going too hot...

I mean, compare that to other ways of life.

It's not that bad.

In the paradigm of the 'maximizing consumer', bigfooters could be said to be rational.

agreed, what they will say is we believe in god without every seeing,so to deny a "bigfoot" without every seeing one, then people could call them out on it,

So..........? I should take off the hat then?

Another point, we see all kinds of bigfoot hunting expiditions. Yet, none of them have ever said " listen, we need to put this to rest, we see it, we shoot it and bring it back. ". Sure there might only be a few, but in the same sense, to sacrifice one to bring knowledge of this apperantly unknown species seems the only way to solve the debate at this point.

This is a problem i find with all forms of woo. If there are things out there messing with people, where are the people that want to stop it? ( think of the guys from supernatural. ) I see a lot of people wanting to see it, but when one thinks of the track record of ghosts, cryptids, aliens, etc. Why is there not one group of people out there who decide " enough" and go on the offensive.

A common rebuttal is " how would they?" and i answer this in a couple of ways. In the case of cryptids like the chupacabra, that is commonly said to harm people/animals. Lots of guns and people who know how to use them seem sufficiant. For ghosts, for example either A) there is enough knowledge to combat them on a metaphysical level. Or B) buy and burn the house/the trinket, etc.
