This article is so gay. Oh wait. Do people actually say that? Does that mean I'm being homophobic towards this article, or does it mean some people are stuck in the past when interpreting slang.
News flash, Gays call people gay, or is a gay person calling a gay person homophobic also? This is so confusing. Maybe only homosexuals can use the word gay and faggot. I used to wait tables when I was going to college, and half the waiters there were gay, oh wait i mean unosexual. I wouldn't want to say homosexual either because that might be homophobic.
How does her using faggot or gay make her homophobic. Is everyone that uses those words homophobic or does she have to be straight to be considered homophobic? What if she is actually a closet gay, errrrrr unosexual? Does that still make her homophobic? Its not like using a racial slur.
To call someone homophobic is to fall into the same trap as a straight person calling a straight person gay. To call her homophobic first you have to prove she is being negative towards a gay person because they are gay. The use of the word gay or faggot doesn't make them homophobic.
Another News Flash, gay people dont care if some teenage girl calls another person gay or faggot, when the person that its directed towards is talking crap to her. If you want to actually help the unosexual cause maybe you shouldn't bring up stuff that would make people think gays would be so insensitive or vindictive against some teenage girl. Now dont get me wrong, there are some gay people that other gays refer to as Militant homosexuals, but usually they refer to them that way because of how they feel about the opposite sex.
Im sure some person finds the use of the word gay offensive. Yet if we censored every word that someone found offensive what would be left to talk about? As for the word gay, its not offensive, heck its not even homophobic. Faggot, sure if you are actually directing it towards a gay person because they are gay.
Matter of Fact:
Homophobia is Gay.
