Teabagger Spawn Willow Palin Has Homophobic Facebook Hissy Fit

All that this little fluff piece proves is that Ms Moosemeat has failed at yet another major undertaking in her life. She has yet to bring a single child though adolesence to responsible adulthood.

So much for the GOP efforts to own "family values."

Although I am reluctant to admit it, I have to agree with Lefty here. When Sarah did run and when she stumped for other TP candidates last election, 'family values' was a major part of her rhetoric.

As such the values that she has apparantly imparted upon her children is quite relevant in politics to determine what her family values truly are.

The fact that Willow has no problem calling somebody who insulted her mom's reality show a 'faggot' shows that tolerance of homosexuals is not a value that is taught in the Palin family. The use of the word 'gay' is not so problematic because it has become popular amongst that age group to mean something other than homosexual, although that usage does still bother me personally.

Well, the word gay did mean something other than homosexual for quite a long period of time.

Are you joking? It's a word. A word typed on facebook by a 16 year old kid.
How would you know what is or isn't taught in the Palin home and why is it any of your business to begin with?

Some parents may teach their children to hate homosexuals.
They have that right as parents.
Just because you don't agree with that is meaningless.
That is what makes America so beautiful!
The freedom of it all.

But none of that changes the fact that what all this is about is a word.
We are well into the 21st century now.
When are words gonna be seen as only what they are words?

Really?...it's OK with you if parents teach their children to hate others?

I would say it's child abuse to teach hate...and your "acceptance" of same scares the crap out of me.

Is it any wonder the world is as messed up as it is.

Oh no, the butt robbers are all offended. See, this is why God invented fag cancer./Willow's thoughts.

I don't think she'll get knocked up. I think she'll have an abortion or two.

To answer "why is this news?":

1) It probably shouldn't be.

2) The only reason anyone cares is because Sarah Palin is so sanctimonious about her "family values."

She wines about the American education system, about out of control kids, about broken families, about gays having families...all while parading about her children and using her position as "Mama Grizzly" to say she will "fix" the problems that ail America.

Were she less overtly condescending, this would be even less news than it is. But when you hold yourself out as an exemplar of "family values," some people might decide to scrutinize the results of your wonderful system.

Same reason why it's interesting her daughter had a child out of wedlock while she condescends and slams single mothers.

Personally, I would argue that there's no reason to descend to this level when reporting about Palin. Her views and ideas are insane and/or incoherent. There's absolutely no reason to deal with her personal life. However, we live in a dumb *********** country. This is the level of political discourse we understand.

I am not claiming that she does not have that right. However, if she wants to hold public office, and specifically runs on a campaign of family values, then what values she teaches her children becomes relevant and newsworthy.

Agreed, but it should still have the right to merge with other threads.

Yes, but we can't these threads merge in private forums? Why do they have to flaunt it in everyone's faces by merging in public forums?

The OP, among others, seems to have a pretty strong leftist, anti-conservative bias. I don't see how that (or its opposite) is consistent with claiming to be a skeptic - assuming the OP is not one of the new-age-psychic-ancient-alien-bigfooter participants in this forum.

Or. I am posting in this thread in an effort to prevent these types of threads from occurring in the future. or at the very least to keep them out of the politics sub-forum and in a more appropriate sub-forum.
.
That sub-forum might be well titled..
"For those with too much time on their hands".
Or.
"Things about people you have no interest in but will read anyway".
.
Along those lines...
It is sad Bristol kicked Brandi's butt.

I wonder what Ms. Palin would say if she had used the word "retard"...

However, it is not something I look for in a parent that is desiring to run for President of the United States.

good point. I would be very surprised to hear any of the Palin family use that as a casual insult the way Willow used 'gay' and 'faggot', despite age and maturity. I have no doubt they they been taught to be very tolerant of the mentally handicapped.

Do you realize that this entire "controversy" started with some kid making a Facebook comment about Sarah's reality show? These are not the conspiracies you are looking for.

The "conspiracy" involves the endless, frenetic search for anything any Palin has said or done, indeed anything a Palin can be somewhat credibly accused of having said or done, with or without evidence, for the purpose of obsessively exposing their "Palinhood".

One obsessive Palin-watcher even went so far as to move next door to the Palins, the better to keep an eye on them and write a slanderous book about them. Wierd.

The underlying subliminal message being, "A vote for a leftist politiker is a vote against a Palin seizure of the US, followed quickly by a new Dark Age, or at least another Bush-like presidency.

The problem being, people are quickly becoming nostalgic for the Bush presidency.

I hope you were joking.

Why would I need to joke? The incessant leftist Palin-bashing which clogs all leftist-dominated political forums speaks for itself.

I think there is a generational language gap that is causing much of the uproar here. The slang usage of the word 'faggot' has evolved from a homophobic slur to be much more generic. Teens today often use it interchangeably with 'loser' or 'idiot'. I see no evidence in the context that it was intended to be reference to sexual orientation.

Toontown,

Come on man. Sarah isnt holding a public office because she quit for money and fame.

Objection. Bald attribution of motive.

We do know Palin was being systematically financially denuded by frivolous ethics charges which were taking up an inordinate amount of her time, attention, and money. If I were to find myself in a similar position, I would also leave the job, both to avoid bankruptcy and in the hope that my replacement would not be burdened by flurries of insubstantial, vindictive ethics charges.

She has a PAC, so if she isnt running, or planning on it very soon, then wtf is that all about.

Oh, the horror! She has a PAC! RUN! No wait! Somebody STOP HER! Aim for the family! Aim for the family! Hurry! SHE'S COMING!

Damn, you people scare easy. If Palin is the incompetent you make her out to be, then you should be rooting for her to become Obama's opponent in the next presidential election. If she's as bad as all that, Obama will thrash her easily, and win by a historic landslide.

Me, I don't know that much about her. Like most people on the earth, she's a godder. I know she favors less government and at least gives lip service to stopping the ultimate-collapse-generating avalanche of debt. I know she favors expanding all kinds of domestic energy in order to reduce dependence on jihadi oil. I know she favors a strong national defense. All of which can be supported by reference to recent empirical events and trends. So I don't really know what all the horror on the left is about. Is it all about protecting their buddy Ahmadinejad from a looming monster mama bear? Yes, I know she has given Ahmadinejad the grizzly rub-out sign.

Oh well. When and if she runs, I'll start paying more attention, and I will find out what I need to know about her.
