TAM7 Talent Show

But Cleon was trying! In fact, he'll be dancing in the talent show.

And I am SO in.

I'm going to need a shorter skirt though....

The worst part, which I didn't even notice, is at about 27 seconds, when the guy says "to the right", I look at my hands to tell right from left....

You have them tattooed?
If you hold your hands up in front of your face so that you're looking at the backs of your palms, and stick your thumbs out, you'll find that your left hand makes an "L".

That's how I was taught when I was four, and it's stood me very well for the last thirty five years. :D

Oh, I know that.

I was being silly.

It's probably a trick she learned from her big sister. :p

well I'm signed up to do a magic trick.

so there!

(now to figure it out)

So, is it going to be better than MattMax lying on a bed of nails?

Not just the bed of nails - my routine will hopefully involve a series of physical feats related to both skepticism & physics education. I hope I can survive sacrificing myself for science - again.

Though I must admit it would be very hard to go up against KingMerv's flaming bo staff :)

"flaming bo staff"?

Just a suggestion to get a permit before indoor fire. It's a rule!

I know that as Penn and Teller had to get one once before a TAM performance!

But I'm all for fire!!!

Sorry to dash your hopes but you know I was joking right? Just a regular bo staff. I like it too much to set it on fire and I'm pretty sure I'd die.

No fire? Because I was really excited about that!

I just wanted to make sure you got a permit.

Do you think you could practice with fire? Buy some cheap bo staffs from the dollar store and start with them? If someone stood by with a bucket of water while you practiced I'm sure you would only get a few second degree burns..

There was once a lady who performed "fire juggling" at I-Con, but since she was not allowed to use real fire, on that stage, she just used things with electric lights in them.

The effect was not quite a dramatic, but you got the basic drift of her talents.
