TAM6 - what do you look like?

Oh, one thing.... There's a chance I might get freaked out and cancel like last time I tried to attend a JREF event. But somehow I think I'll go thru with this one. If I do back out, tho, I'll get someone w/ a digicam to snap it for you.

I'm very bad with names and faces. LOL So you guys need to find me. :)

There's a pic on my myspace. My username is Homesick Berkleyite. (I can't link to it yet, I'm too new.)

Piggy, I almost did this when I attended the first cruise a couple years back. I didn't know any one on the trip, and I had not even been posting on the forum, so I really didn't know anyone.

I am very glad I didn't chicken out!

Two comments. This is a photo thread to more pickies, less talkies, and:

The scholarships are all well and good, but don't forget the power of direct appeals. If you can handle registration and find a roomie, but need $350 to cover airfare contact Hutch. If you have freequent flyer miles and can pay for registration, but can't cover hotel costs, see the roomies thread or start your own. If you can cover registration, airfare and hotel, but are worried about incidentals - forget about that and go... you will be fed, taxied and provided caffine/booze by others.

I, myself, have about a $1000 I'm willing to commit to people who just need a bit extra to attend and that goes for long timers or newbies.

That's good to know. I currently fit into the have-roommates-and-registration-but-need-travel-and-food category.

I've noticed that there's an auction up to help fund the scholarships. Do you guys thing my art would sell? I have a few neat alien-pod-looking ceramics I could put up.

PM Kittynh about the auctions and yes, someone will buy them. That will be a start. As far as what you think your travel and incidental costs will be, PM them to me and I can probably get you 75 to 100% of them.

TAMs aren't just for forumites, but the more the merrier. :)

See my avatar or other post such as Rich Orman's skepticamp recap Post. You can find me in / around at other Skeptics stuff. In Fitter's photo he is on the left just like everyone else.

ETA2: here's a direct link to the photo albums

For some reason that link only goes to the myspace homepage... at least for me. And I spoke with my mom earlier today and she's sending more of my preemtive inheritance which I don't need so I'm willing to share with strangers. I'll fund your TAM6 travel and incidentals 100%, just let me know the details.

For those who aren't in New England and haven't met me in person already...

Okay, so I was in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, just before we left to go collect mud. :D

If that's how you always dress, CG, (pink and black) people are gonna have a tough time recognizing me just by the clothes I wear.

He he, I do wear other colors besides black and pink but I can't guarantee what I will be wearing when the time comes. A safe bet in my case, I usually wear blue jeans ...
