TAM6 - what do you look like?

I look a little like my avatar. Except I'm not bald. Or old. And I don't wear glasses.

Since I work at home (code monkey) I do wear slippers a lot of the time, though.

Please tell me that both you and your friend will be at TAM, and that you will be wearing those outfits.

Did someone say pictures....

I will be the person holding a camera in her hand throughout the whole event.

My most current picture is the one on my JREF profile, but I'm too lazy to post here.

And Disko I think you are a cutie, though perhaps too young for me, not that I'm looking or anything.....

Here is a link to my pictures from AA2 to Alaska http://picasaweb.google.com/sgerbic/Alaska2007
Lots of people from this forum are there.

I will be bringing my sons, Caspian (20) who sometimes posts here as Caspian88 and also Stirling (17) who was on the Alaska trip. We will also have the pig with us. Trust me you won't be able to miss us at TAM.

Not a problem, he's very mature. Some people even assume he's old enough to buy alcohol.

PM Kittynh about the auctions and yes, someone will buy them. That will be a start. As far as what you think your travel and incidental costs will be, PM them to me and I can probably get you 75 to 100% of them.

TAMs aren't just for forumites, but the more the merrier. :)

Sweet! (retrieves TI-83) My largest expense will be gasoline. For ease of math, I've rounded up the numbers. It's 290 miles one way, and my car gets 15 MPG city. (Using city mileage because the trip out is almost entirely uphill.) At the current local rate of $3.40/gallon, I'll need 20 gallons for a total of $66.00 one way or $130 round trip. This may be higher though as gas is projected to get up to $4 per gallon by June. :( I don't know at this time about incidentals but I wanna buy all the books I can get. And I should probably eat something. LOL But I may be able to cover those expenses myself.

Seems like TAM people are all out to help each other, which is awesome. :)What else could I do, aside from auctioning? Maybe pick folks up at the airport or something?

Aw, poor baybeh. $3.40 a gallon is about 1/3 of what I pay. ;)

Like US said, show up. Talk to people. Drop by the book table [subliminal message ON]and BUY BOOKS![subliminal message OFF]

Pssst. Michelle. If you visit the book table beware of a white-haired viking who frequently hangs around there. Pillaging and looting. Need I say more?

"Frequently"? I bloody well live there.

Only I will be at TAM6 - my friend's not so much into the skeptical stuff like me.

As for the outfit, probably not. That is, unless I get invited to a killer party which would justify me lugging it across the country ;)
