TAM2 Pictures

great pictures but I thought the tam was in miami......and that miami is always hot. So why has everyone got on sweaters?

This year TAM was in Las Vegas. Daytime temperatures got up to about 65°F (18°C) while nighttime temperatures dropped to about 50°F (10°C).

People that came from cold areas (Massachusetts, New Hampshire, South Dakota, etc.) wore t-shirts. Las Vegas natives wore sweaters.

I will say that I may be issuing a call for photographs of the "Relic in performance." I have two such photos already... one shows Teller's face obscured and the other is a little blurry. Some folks have already graciously offered to send me their photos, and I greatly appreciate the offer.

I expect to frame the Relic and include a photo of the Relic during the performance... if I can find a decent photo, that is.

I had planned upon making a bid on the bullet as well. (The bullet was used in Penn & Teller's bullet-catching act at the Rio--the bullet consisted of the cartridge from Penn's gun and the slug Penn "caught" in his mouth.) As a soon-to-be forum member will attest, I won a rather substantial sum at the MGM Grand ten-dollar blackjack tables the night before the auction of the bullet, and I had decided to use this sum to make a bid... but unfortunately the very first bid was greater than the amount of my winnings, so I decided to pass on the bullet.

My photos come back on CDs on Saturday. I do not have any way of posting them, but if I have some good photos, I may be asking for some help in getting them to a web site.

The key caveat is "if I have some good photos." It is well within the bounds of possibility that every single photo will be blurred, poorly lit or blocked by my middle finger. I have not used a camera for several years, and I generally restrict myself to the point-and-shoot-you-idiot variety of camera.

Upon taking photos, my attitude was to remember what I saw, as there is a very good likelihood that my photos would not turn out. Thus, if things turn out well, I will have cause to be happy.

Shanek -- great photos of Jerry Andrus' nuts! I've never seen someone capture on film the true essence, form and beauty of his nuts, but you have done so. I was there watching when you delicately worked your hand around them, but had no idea it'd look so good on film.

What an increadible event last weekend! It is so nice to be able to bask in the afterglow of the conference here on the forum.
