I am now officially going to be in Las Vegas during that time frame, but not attending TAM. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to play penny slots and feed Mom sushi, so will most likely see a bunch of you in the Del Mar!

Zooterkin, if you need a ride to buy ~~pants~~ Levi's, I will have my car and be getting in latish on Wednesday, so any time Thursday or later works for me.

The two main reasons are a lackluster line-up (IMHO) and cost. Technically, I can afford it, I would just prefer to use the money on other things this year. By lackluster, I do not mean they are necessarily bad choices, they just do not appeal to me. Also, in my experience, those who mostly have a background in writing, particularly in the type of writing done on most blogs, do not have very good public presentation skills (Schmingo!). People such as Bill Nye and Neil deGrasse Tyson are known for their abilities in such a venue, so they were definitely draws for me. Since the majority of the presenters this year seem to be mainly bloggers, I expect the quality of the talks to be a bit lower. I did do a (very brief) Google on some of the speakers, but could only find written pieces, nothing "live" to judge them on.

Granted, I could very well be wrong, but I am not interested in spending $500+ to find out.

Try this..
Click the Quote button on the most recent post that includes the table.
Remove the entire quote tag at the beginning and the end - including anything inside the same set of brackets
Then find where you fit alphabetically (easy enough for you

) and type the information for each column separated by a pipe "|".
Use Preview post to make sure it looks ok before you submit.
