TAM V Scholarships?

There used to be info on the Skepchick site about how it was affiliated with providing scholarships to skeptical events i.e. TAM. IIRC, the proceeds from the calendars sold last year went towards scholarships. I'm sure Rebecca can clear up any questions regarding the organization.

I didn't see anything about scholarships on the site, but it doesn't sound like that would have answered my specific question anyway, which was whether anyone had thought about setting up a non-profit corporation to raise funds for the scholarships. This would have the effect of making donations tax deductible. It's something the Skepchicks or JREF might want to consider, if it hasn't been done yet.

The JREF is going to set up an outlet by which funds donated will go towards scholarships under the JREF's 501(c)(3) standing. As I said before the information may have been on the Skepchick site at an earlier time (2005), but there is no information on the site anymore that says anything about scholarships (at least not that I can find).

Is there supposed to be something on the Skepchick site that's relevant to my question? If so, I'm not seeing it.
Well, you asked if someone had considered setting up a 501(c)(3) to make scholarship donations tax deductible, and yes, they have considered it. But it appears that skepchick has currently either abandoned that idea entirely (because of being too much work or to complicated) or it's currently in the freezer until the next calendar is released and the question is raised again.
