TAM Australia

Finally got around to booking flights and accomodation.
We're flying up and back with Jetstar, staying at the Travelodge.
Looking forward to the trip, not so much looking forward to paying my credit card.

Come to Canberra for the weekend after. We're getting George Hrab to Skeptics in the Pub!

Really regretting not doing the road trip from Melbourne. Didn't think of it until after I booked my flights. Definitely would have stopped off for this. Ah well, there's always next year...unless TAM moves to Melbourne. ;)

Poor George is certainly going the long way around. Was there any discussion between the individual organisers as to dates prior to booking?

Melbourne discussions with George started in July and then it all snowballed.
With George coming for TAMoz in Sydney there was always going to be some backwards and forwards to get to other locations.

Truly appreciate how available he has made himself… what a gent! :D

Agreed! :D

Anyone thought of a way of sneaking into the Skeptics in the Pub on Thursday night?

Yep. It's called being on the guest list :p

I'm bringing a +1. You're more than welcome to fight him to the death for a place. Either that, or I can staple you both to each other.

There's a waiting list on the Meetup group with 13 people already listed. I expect that perhaps a few will drop off. Otherwise, keep an ear out for someone who has a +1 that can't go.

Oh, absolutely! He's even confirmed that he's willing to be a guest panellist on my podcast!

I think you'd be lucky. The pub is very nice and spacious, but they're already packing a very large number of people in there.

Nah. It's a lot easier to take out etv's +1.;)
