TAM 2012 Las Vegas

However, one thing I did notice is that the hotel rates look great ($45 weeknight/$85 weekend night)--quite I bit better than I got when I booked during a recent sale, so I will be re-booking.

I just looked at that on the website; for my stay, the cost will be exactly, to the cent, what I paid last year. I can't remember now if I used the group rate or grabbed a special offer last year.

I'm about to register for my 2nd TAM, but I have a question; In order to go to the evening shows, is it necessary to purchase those now along with registration, or is it possible to buy them the day of the event? I

Day of.

As far as I know, none of them have ever sold out.

Yeah, I tend to decide last-minute if I'm going to an evening show (depending on dinner plans, general energy level, how much fun I'm having hanging out in the bar), then if I decide yes, I buy my ticket at the door. As of yet it's never presented a problem.

You can also choose to purchase the tickets for evening shows online after your original registration by using the same email address.

Aren't we overdue for the annual "Why is TAM in Las Vegas?" thread?

It has never been a problem because you've never left the bar?

Yes, I'm still here but, it's getting warm and I'll head out in a few weeks. Still ahead on the gambling too... I'm shocked.

I may try to pop back and troll the bar incognito.

:D

Interesting, that mentions a "Special Presentation by Penn & Teller", which I haven't seen anywhere else so far.

It says it on the front page of the TAM website as well, although it doesn't explain further.
