TAM 10 - Extracurricular Skepticism

No interest in bodies. Other people can, but I find it squicky. I mean, it's cool and all. But I just can't do it.

If you are going to Titanic, consider Bodies as well, which is right next to Titanic. You might be able to get discount ticket if you see both, check with Luxor or look around the web.

Bodies is probably the most unique exhibit I've seen in a long time.

I would advice against going to see Bodies. It's a rip-off of Bodyworlds.

Bodyworlds is done by the guy that invented the process. Dr. Dean Edell used to talk about the difference, and said that the people used to create Bodies are from China and most likely executed prisoners. I wouldn't want to support such a thing.

A Clockwork Orange

Someone tweeted that A Clockwork Orange will be playing Wednesday night at southpoint's theater as part of the classic movie series.

Haven't figured out what I'm doing Wednesday night, but this looks like it could be fun.

(I'm too new to post URLs, so google Cinemark Classic Series for details)

I'm likely going to Absinthe Wednesday evening, but may try to fit in Clockwork earlier that afternoon. I'm a big Kubrick fan but have never seen it on the big screen either.

Penn and Teller tickets

If you are a member of TravelZoo (free) they are offering mezzanine seats at Penn and Teller for $49.50 (regularly $82.50). Available dates include the Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday nights of TAM. Here is the link

That's a good deal (and it's a great show). Didn't P&T offer TAMmers discounted tickets in the past? I wonder if they will do it again. Don't recall how much of a discount was given, though.

Can anyone recall the cost of the P&T discounted tickets for TAM?

I may try to see Singing In The Rain on Thursday afternoon. I love musicals. I'm not gay.

I don't care for most musicals, but have always loved Singing in the Rain.
Nice plot, great songs.

Next favorite musical? Batboy: The Musical

/I haven't seen Book of Mormon yet...so can't post that...but I think I will love it when I do

Skeptics in the Tiki Room

Now, normally I would like a margarita or 4 at Miguels...but then how am I supposed to get to the Tiki Room afterwards? It is like 6 miles or so away, so not pub crawl-able.
