Then I went back and clicked yes to all questions. That seemed to creash it .

Reminds me of __Remembrance of Things Past__ by Proust. Having sensations stir up memories is just a part of being human. As we experience the world through sensation (smell, sound, sight, etc.), it's natural that we remember the world through sensation.

ETA: answering honestly, I am pleased to report that I am very psychic. Actually, I had to lie about "would you like us to hand you $500 right now" because my psychic senses indicated that this would cause some type of advertisement to appear.

It's true; I occasionally remember people who have died, and I'm very good at predicting the plots of "Walker: Texas Ranger" reruns.

Under those circumstances I use the Dirk Gently Zen driving technique. I don't think this would make me psychic, but rather make me easily influenced by fictional literary characters.
