Sounds about right. Apparently Assad, according to, Thierry Meyssan,:

What a good man!

Well they're literally dying in the streets rather than raising their firearms, on command of Assad, and risking injuring any innocent civilian!

Okies....so my thoughts on the situation where right :p

Sibel Edmonds refers to a not-so-secret plan for possible U.S. options in Syria. Color me unimpressed that you think this would support your claim of Ba'athist innocence.

Her article - quite explicitly and hard to miss - points out that what was reported as news and planning of possible future options by the US corporate media in late December, in reality was already going on since May as reported by several sources including hers. And led to the escalation we see now.

So will you answer my question?

I did.

What you have to do is provide a corroborative source, one which I do not have to sign up to a website to access, that shows that Al-Assad is doing anything relating to the Syrian opposition in Turkey, or that he is overseeing arms smuggling.

Also, a source or corroborative facts supporting this statement:

The joint US-NATO secret training camp in the US air force base in Incirlik, Turkey, began operations in April- May 2011 to organize and expand the dissident base in Syria.

If you think the link is Al-Assad, please provide evidence for it.

*ETA

Nothing to say on the Land Destroyer article?

Is Al Jazeera part of the US corporate media?

You think Al Qaeda is using tanks now?

What you have to do ...

You seem to confuse me with somebody else. I don't do tap dancing. Ask WildCat. The articles with sources are there to digest for people who want to make sense of the situation apart from the surface, as a starting point.

Here's a collection of some Syrian TV reports from June.

Yes you do. You brought up the articles, now you refuse to talk about them.

The joint US-NATO secret training camp in the US air force base in Incirlik, Turkey, began operations in April- May 2011 to organize and expand the dissident base in Syria.

What is Sibel's source for this, who corroborates it, and is there a verifiable link between Al-Assad and the United States?

And STILL nothing to say on the Land Destroyer article.

Empress, if you do not wish to discuss what you think the articles mean, then don't post them.

The articles with sources are there

There are zero sources cited in the Land Destroyer article, Sibel's article, or the Voltaire article. Stop appealing to your favored authorities and link to some facts.

Unfortunately Al Jazeera is now under close control of the rulers of Qatar and turned into the mouth piece of the Arab counter-revolution led by the gruesome dictatorship of Saudi Arabia - which unapologetically sent the army to brutally crush the uprising in Bahrain, btw.

So it's not part of the "US corporate media". Ok.

How is it that an absolute monarchy like Qatar falls in lock-step with a theocratic regime like SA? What's the angle?

Surely you know Syrian TV is state-controlled and broadcasts only things the regime allows it to? Not to mention its occassional re-broadcasting of its "documentary" based on -- you guessed it -- the "protocols"...

Maybe you shouldn't use paranoid consiracy theory sites as a starting point? Just a suggestion.

Anyway, then we move on to...

Official dictatorial state news media!

Garbage in, garbage out.

No point debating with someone who believes in the CIT flyover nonsense. On anything.

Listen to the man, WildCat. According to your ilk i'm a paranoid conspiracy theorist myself so don't whine when I quote other people you put that label on. If I could be bothered to re-narrate the story to you and your "honest questions" buddy, you could always use that "argument" against me anyway.

I honestly don't care if they're conspiracy theorists - what they say doesn't make sense or stand up as factual when it's pulled apart and scrutinized.

But you can't be bothered, so that's the end of that.

Can you explain why an Absolute Monarchy would get behind an Islamic counter-revolution that would essentially depose the ruling class of Qatar?
