@ canis: this was somewhat along the lines of my point ... but for much different reasons. It wasn't to "test the reactions" of anyone, rather, it was to take what I personally would consider a REAL road. Not high, or low ...I find myself wondering what the reaction would be if she received very pleasant and heartfelt get well notes from RSL and Randi.
Yeah .... I understand this point.I think I am getting confused.
I am confused about what you are getting at when you suggest "using her to prove a point" and then say "compassion can exist without the need for exploitive nonsense."
I think that rather than offer to pay for her treatments and then publically wishing death n her, the skeptical community would be better served to take the high road and publically wish her a return to good health & pain free living.

But for me personally, it wouldn't be intellecutaly honest. I have no problem saying that I am glad someone was dead. I don't wish suffering on people ... but death? There are several people I wouldn't mind being rid of.
So with that in mind, my original comment was geared towards the idea that those who wish the world to be rid of her, would show a sort of acceptance about their own stance: so much so, that they could offer to show a move of support for her financially ---- but NOT for her. It would be for those who follow her that an "example would be set" and a "point would be made." It's a move of compassion for those who look to her like a sheep without a shepherd ... but then see a move of compassion and honesty towards her from her own critics.
A "wish you well," to her would be disengenuous (sp) for the most part, and only show underlying bitterness. But an honest approach would set an example that, perhaps those followers who teeter between believing in her and feeling gipped by her, would see and be willing to examine a critical view of her. It's the bees with honey idea. But it is exploiting her somewhat.
My post was obviously hypothetical ... as I don't see anyone likely doing this for the reasons I mentioned. But .... when someone is lying and cheating and exploiting others, knowingly doing so with full knowledge ... to me, they are fair game in this way: they are perhaps a pawn to be used. If there were hope for her "redemption" ... then it would perhaps even be best served by using her in whatever way suits the moment.
It's not that I don't view her as a human being ... it's more the idea that she traded out, willingly, her right to be treated with dignity and respect. Perhaps this isn't the high road or the low road approach ... but something else ...

I'm perfectly happy to wish her dead. The world will be a slightly better place for her passing.
She's 74. Dying at 74 peacefully of a heart attack is too good for her. I hope she recovers so something far worse can happen.
If it is like the Salons that were held in Campbell, CA, it is an event where 20-30 of her fans/followers watch her "channel" her Spirit Guide Francine. Each person gets to ask (I believe) three questions. Cost to attend: $1,000.....snip.

Freak steamroller accident?
If I recall, there were some pretty nasty comments from her camp or followers when RSL had his illness, somehow saying it was his actions and beliefs against Sylvia that caused it. I wonder how they justify that in light of Sylvia's illness?

I think she says that Good things happen to White entities (like herself) because of Kharma. Not sure why she would say that good things happen to Dark entities (like me) though.
Did they? I certainly expected it, but don't recall reading any.
Bad things happen to Dark Entities (like me) because of Kharma (which Browne sometimes says exists and other times says doesn't), but bad things happen to White Entities (like Browne) because she "charted" those things before being born in order to teach herself a "life lesson" she needed to learn.
I have also been told that she said to people in her office that I had my stroke, and Randi got cancer, because she prayed to "Mother Azna" that we be stopped.
How... "spiritual".
