..snip..Screw her
Well, I don't think she'll be quite up for that at this point in time but I'll pass anyway. You crack on though - whatever floats yer boat!
..snip..Screw her
With the first breath they (the ministers of Novus Spiritus)ask for prayers for Sylvia...with their second breath, they ask for money. How typical!
Doesn't ANYONE in that office see how tacky that letter is? I can hear them now...geez, how are we going to support our luxurious lifestyles if Sylvia is no longer around. Let's use this to get as much money in here as we can just in case she dies.
Those people make me sick!
And if they really believe the crap she spouts, then they shouldn't be too worried...after all, she's not supposed to die until she's 88. Sylvia herself said so!
Why donate at all?
Because if Sylvia Browne survives this attack, then she will just write a book about her 'personal/spirtual/special meeting with God/Allah/whatever' and make a couple extra million that way.
<snip>She's not Ted Bundy.<snip>
So, if you are not rejoicing, but feel no compassion, would you say this is a non-issue for you? Something you just do not care about one way or the other?
I am most definitely not tiptoeing or advising others to tiptoe. I have stated plainly and unambigously how I feel about SB, her career, and her current situation. That she suffers is regrettable. But that doesn't mean we'd have to tiptoe around the issue, does it?
Furthermore, whatever one may feel about this - she is not being "punished". A punishment is decided upon based on the details of what one did. I didn't in any way decide that she should suffer a heart attack, nor did anyone else. No one could have.
The question of what one should have decided if given the option is pointless in the extreme.
It may be sad if people rejoice at someones death, but that doesn't mean it is unjustified. Personally, I would prefer if she admitted to what she is and what she has done, but in the greater scheme of things her inability to continue will be a good thing.
Her very existence is anecdotal evidence there is no god.
Impossible for her to have a heart attack.
She has no compassion or heart
I have said in the past, this is not the way I wanted her stopped. Novus' trying to milk this for donations is despicable but not unexpected. This is not a time for cheap jokes at her expense. Whatever she has done, and however we feel about her, she is a human being with family who love her, including grandchildren, who are probably very worried about her. If I still had the ability to update the site, I would mostlikely add what I have said here to the front page. As far as SSB emails, I only received one mentioning this, saying that perhaps God was Stopping her.
I thought this too about the money thing, though my first thought is to wonder if it's Sylvia behind this. I could see (maybe) if it was 2 months later and she's been in rehab or something. But it's been 4 days! And she just finished a salon, which rakes in, what $30,000 or so?
I apologize for my ignorance, but what is a salon?
It would be so wonderful if Sylvia took this health scare and turned it into something positive, as many people who survive an experience like this do. She can't take it with her when she dies, yet she uses this to ask for yet more money. Reprehensible.
This "article" has the earmarks of being a press release written by Browne's people rather than a genuine report written by a bona fide journalist.
