Sylvia Browne and her book

Polar bears might actually be quite happy, experience of captive breeding seems to show that they like warm & balmy just fine...

Dumb joke heard on Larry King the other day:

Polar bear cub: Mom, am I a polar bear?
Polar bear mom: Yes, dear. You are a polar bear.

Next day--
Polar bear cub: Mom, are you sure I'm a polar bear?
Polar bear mom: Yes, dear. I'm a polar bear. Your father's a polar bear. Your aunts and uncles are polar bears. You are a polar bear.

Next day--
Polar bear cub: Mom, are you absolutely sure I'm a polar bear?
Polar bear mom: YES, you are a polar bear!! Why do you keep asking me that?!
Polar bear cub: Why? Because I'm f***ing freezing!!

Once upon a time, I would have known right away if someone was joking like that. But after having been here a year and having had the opportunity to chat with some believers, I can not be sure anymore.

I've only been here amonth or so and I can never tell the sarcasm in text from the nut jobs...

Have you read the rest of Jimmy's Sylvia Browne reviews? Hysterical if he is joking...

If he's not joking I hope he doesn't live near me...

Another sample....

I love love love love love love love love Sylvia browne. i didnt see it in her book, but I started smoking too, so I could be more like her.

Sylvia, bear my children! Please!
He surely must be joking! ;)

I reserved the book at the library and I'll pick it up tonight. I want to see the perversity of it without paying for it.

Sylvia Browne's book at the library

Bear in mind that every time you check out a book, it increases the likelihood that it will stay in the library. How often a book is checked out is a big factor in what stays and what is passed on at book sales, etc. That's why Uri Geller's oldest, dumbest books can still be found in libraries, long after his downfall many moons ago, orchestrated in part by our illustrious leader! :)

I just checked out, via inter-library loan, a book about spiritualism for research purposes. It was such a pro-spiritualism book, with no critical matter at all, that I honestly regret helping move its bowels. With some books, constipation is a good thing.

Everybody, ask your library to carry Sagan's DEMON HAUNTED WORLD, Randi's FLIM FLAM, and the video of Randi's Nova episode SECRETS OF THE PSYCHICS. Small things, done en masse, can do wonders. I've seen it happen. Most librarians listen to their patrons.

I'd still rather check it out than buy it. I may buy a used one from a private person (not a store) when they drop to $5, which should be soon...I've seen them discounted to $9 already.

Books-A-Million (same type store as Borders Books) here didn't have her book on the shelves, though you could order it and pick it up in store.

And in wonderful Maryland, with a church every 12 feet, I had to special-request Demon Haunted World for a school report my son did.

HEY! You can add customer images to the reviews at Amazon. I wonder what would happen if I put that Easter Bunny pic in there?

I did not know that the Eiffel Tower died and journyed to the other side!
