I'm sure there are other threads on this subject but this thread is for member SweatyYeti's claims regarding the STS-48 Shuttle mission. As was the case with SweatyYeti's Martian Civilization Evidence Thread, I would not have any expectation for Sweaty to feel inclined to participate in a thread that focuses on his claims or acknowledge when his claims are debunked, as is consistent with his behaviour. Nevertheless, input is most welcome.

There's an object which comes into view at 1:31 into the video, coming across the physical edge of the Earth. (Not the top, visible edge, which is the atmosphere.) The physical edge of the earth is marked with a white 'registration marker'. It's located below the "STS" in the title.

The fact that the object is seen coming over the edge of the Earth, tells us it's a large object, far away from the Shuttle...rather than a small object, near the Shuttle. It gives us a 3rd dimension, and allows for speed measurements to be made of it.
The object is very real...and accelerates very fast, off into space, at a rate that would crush an astronaut...changing direction abruptly, in a way unlike any type of spacecraft that we know about.
In addition, it reactes to a flash of light from something on the shuttle....so the shuttle and the object are interacting with each other.
It's a safe bet that the shuttle mission involved more than just what NASA made public.

The first thing that struck me when looking at this video is that in the past I've seen being referred to as a particle beam attack on a UFO. The thing that strikes me is at the same time of the movement that is supposed to be that attack, there is a similar movement down and to the right.
 
Oh look they've added a new pipeline to the sewer! UFO's are real absoloutely real! This is to say lights and opject like things can and to appear in the skies that defi immedate explaination. Are they visitors from outer space or inner space or even hyper space? No they're just thigs that appear in unusual circumstances and catch the attention because of. If there was anything real about UFO's (flying saucers) the entire issue would never have evolved into as many different fragments and vrieties as it has. Ignore this thread kids its designed to feed the methane belcher who created it.
 
Are there any of these videos where the UFO isn't dust being disturbed by the shuttle's engines?

OMG! Creekfreak! How did you get into Crowlogic's account and what have you done with her!?

1) I did not make the claim in the OP. I simply gave it a separate thread so as to avoid a derail, as per normal forum ettiquette.

2) You disagree with Sweaty about UFO's but you both agree the JREF is a sewer. Hope.

Yes there are. Not all of the videos show dust or jet propellant. Some UFOs are frozen astronaut wee wee glistening in the sun.

Is it just me or something else. I just see some drifting stuff that sometimes comes and goes. Nothing that comes from the edge of the earth's limb as if it is a large object some distance away. I would like to see Sweaty provide a better description/evaluation of what he is talking about.

No, it's not just you. The video is extremely boring. How anybody in his or her right mind could interpret anything extraterrestrial into it, is beyond me. These folks simply have not watched enough footage of the Shuttle's cameras to know any better. Plus, they are bored. They want to believe some fancy stuff is going on out there.

Hence, if intelligent life has ever developed on another planet somewhere, it's in all probability either way behind us, or way ahead of us, in it's stage of development. Just look at how much our level of technology has increased over the last 100 years, and think about how much more advanced another civilization would be that began 10,000, 100,000, or even a million years before us. :jaw-dropp

But where is the evidence connecting unusual aerial phenomenon to alien civilizations? Huge leap of logic IMHO.

"Yes the great leap of conclusions and one's method to support it".
I guess it is my conclusion that these are ice particles on the most part.
Some of these particles and their trajectories seem rather close to the
camera. And it looks like they are being affected by the Shuttle itself.
"Wow" that was a big bold leap of logical assumption on my part I presume.
My mathematical assumptions being left out of it.

There have been....no doubt...many instances when these "aerial phenomenon" are best described as unexplainable , rather than simply as unusual.

There are countless things, in everyday life, which are "unusual".....but not nearly as many things, or events, in life which are "unexplainable".

There is a "Huge leap, or difference" between the two characterizations of UFO sighting reports........and "unexplainable" is the reason why some people's minds consider the possibility that some of these events may involve ET's.

Let's not beat around the bush. Alien visitation is an explanation. That's the one you're talking about.
