If Mr. Lancaster suffered a stroke because he was supposedly trying to "hurt another human being", Sylvia Browne would be dead many times over by now from the same.

It saddens me...it take a particularilly sad, small mind to believe that pain and suffering is inflicted by the Universe for questioning Sylvia Browne's honesty. You know what causes a stroke? Blood flowing into your brain. That's what a stroke is. Why does it happen? To be a little crude here, because you are old or you eat too much. That's what causes a stroke. If you aren't old and don't eat too much, it won't happen. If you are old and eat too much, it will happen. Period, end of story.

Sylvia Browne has nothing to do with strokes, heart attacks or any other medical condition that may fall upon a complete and total stranger.

If a medical doctor investigating a stroke postulated the theory that Sylvia Browne's career had something to do with it, well, he'd know nothing about what causes illnesses. Or the meaning of cause and effect.

Of course not. To even suggest that she does is nothing more than a mean spirited, juvenile attempt to revenge perceived slights against someone the emailer has set up as a personal "heroine". The very fact that the emailer chose SB as a personal idol is, to me, a pretty good indication that the emailer lives in la-la land and/or isn't applying whatever brain power they have to thinking things through.

That makes for a pretty ineffective insult, I think. I mean, I've got a BIL who has said some evil things to me, but he also think if he walks up backwards to birds, they can't see him...so you can guess how much stock I put in his opinion.

Why is she/he still alive!?"? It's a totally irrational idea but there you go.

As if person X's or so-and-so's niceness or lack of has anything to do with the fact of a disease like cancer or the fact that person X got into a car crash or anything else that might have happened to them that they had zero or little control over.

It rains? Zeus did it. I find money on the street? It's cause I did a really good deed on Wednesday! Robert gets a stroke? It's Sylvia's wrath!

Absolute rubbish. I have never thought those things and never will. It's a horrible way of thinking. People actually deserve their misfortunes?!?
Wicked people deserve their fame and fortune? Never.

While I'm glad you admit that it is irrational ideas, don't put words in all of our mouths. Some of us have always said and always will say "stuff happens". (or a non-censored version of it)

I post it because many here have expressed an interest in hearing what those in the pro-Browne camp have to say about my stroke. these emails do not hurt nor bother me. they just make me shake my head. Has your campaign against Sylvia made any headway in damaging her reputation? I can't understand why she hasn't given in to the pressures of being exposed.It's though she grows bigger the more people try to tip her over.

I hope you fully recover from your previous stroke. I have an idea to ruin Sylvia's LIES,but I can't disclose it just yet.

It sounds to me like the site has had an impact overall and continues to be invaluable for those people who are ready to hear what it says. I think the Shawn Hornbeck situation has made a lasting impression on at least part of the public and Robert's site played a major role in getting the word out on that.

Unfortunately it sounds like she is still going fairly strong in spite of it all.

People who meet her in person or have readings with her often come away disillusioned. But people have all sorts of ways of excusing her failures if they want to believe badly enough.

I think SB's business has slowed considerably. Whether it's due to Robert's site, the economy, Montel's show folding, her general demeanor and disrespect for her marks, or a combination of any and all of these things - business has slowed. Oh, and producing books that rehash what she's said in many other books ain't gonna help business much.

Eenie - I know of one person who had a serious stroke in their early 30's. There was also a child in the news recently who had had several strokes. While most stroke victims are elderly, many are not. Robert's stroke should be a wake-up call to people of all ages to watch what they eat, how they eat, and to exercise in some way every day. See a doctor on a regular basis. If the doctor prescribes medication for a condition they determine you have, TAKE IT! Be mindful of your conditions and live in a way that will minimize consequences of those conditions. If it requires doing something you do not enjoy . . . DO IT ANYWAY! Get the task over with (or food eaten) quickly so that you CAN get on with your life. (Ok, those last 2 sentences were aimed at a particular person whose name is not Eenie. But it's still good advice for everybody.)

i am surprised to hear that no relgious nut group has taken "credit" for causing mr randi's cancer i.e we prayed for god to punish him and now he is ill . that kind of crap .

robert the more i read your site and skeptic sites in general the more i belive people will belive what they like no matter what the evidence . it is sad though to see her sucker the families of missing people like Shawn Hornbeck and many others . i am glad the montel williams show is now off air and no longer giving her a platform . keep up your good work .

LS, her reputation has been damaged, but that is mostly her own doing. How much my site helped to get the word out is anyone's guess, but I like to think it played a part.
