StopSylvia email: "French journalist needs help"

I've always called it "common courtesy" - which, sad to say, ain't all that common these days.

Oh she'll be all over you when a slow news day comes up.
Ask her to 'refresh your memory' as you have other commitments and don't wish to have your time wasted.
And as I wrote before do not trust reporters especially if they muck you about

George, thanks for the advice. And I appreciate your apparent concern.

But this is not my first time in a rodeo. I have been interviewed - usually about Sylvia Browne - a dozen times or more now. And nearly every time, people here warn me that the interview might be a setup, or that the interviewer is going to misquote me, or that I should not do the interview because the venue (or the interviewer) is too woo-friendly (I've been interviewed on such "pro-paranormal shows as Para-X, the psychic Mama Lisa's show, The Paracast, and Beyond Reality Radio.

You should have seen people here panic when I announced here that I had been invited on Beyond Reality Radio, which was hosted by Jason and Grant (the guys from Ghost Hunters - about the most woo-based show imaginable).

And, so far, I have not had a bad experience being interviewed. I don't remember my skepticism being marginalised, my being misquoted, or any of the other things I have received dire warnings about here. Maybe some day I will. And - who knows? - maybe this interview will be that time. But if it is, I will deal with it as best as I can, and then deal with any aftermath.

The interview just took place.

It seemed to go well.

It started with Ms. Necek apologizing for the previously scheduled interviews not taking place.

Although she seemed to be "on our side" regarding psychics, that can be hard to tell.

She seemed to know articles from my site, but there were a dozen or more times I folund myself answering a question starting with "There is an article about that on the site..." so she had evidently not read the entire site.

I asked when the documentary is to be aired, and she said they are hoping for a December/January air date.

She also said that once it airs, it will be available for viewing on their web site for a week or so.

Once I know that it has aired, I will add a link in this thread to the page on their site wher the documentary can be viewed.

ETA: Cross posted with your update! (Will delete my comment since it's not relevant now)

Looking forward to hearing the interview :)

I don't know for certain, but I doubt that the interview itself will be part of the documentary. Time will tell.

Your site is rather large. So hard to have read it all. But then she should have checked all her questions to ensure that nothing was on your site about them. It would have been embarrassing for her for you to say that information about the question was on the site. I am sure that phrase would not be broadcast.

Hi Robert!

Have you ever thought about charging $700 a call and making them wait a year or more before calling them back?

Just asking.

An interesting approach, Brattus!

Now if only I could get a weekly spot on a talk show to promote my interviewing services...

I do not see a major problem there. Just start ringing up the talk shows, ask them if they need a regular guest. If so what subject? Maybe you can teach people how to be a fake psychic.
