Steven Jones on Haiti

Why don't we HAARP the Iranian nuclear installations?
And N Korea?

Or maybe we will :D

Well there's only two problems with the idea that the US caused the earthquake so we could take over Haiti.

1. There's no way we could have caused the earthquake.

2. There's no conceivable reason we would want to take over Haiti.

Other than that, it's a perfectly plausible hypothesis.

HAARP? Really?

There seems to be no conspiracy theory too wacky for our bill smith. I just want to say thank you, bill smith, for the hours of enjoyment.

I sincerely hope you can continue posting within the Membership Agreement for many more years to come. If I'm having a bad day, all I need to do is look up a couple of your posts and my troubles melt away.

Thank you.

Every government on earth knows that the Americans can use HAARP to cause Earthquakes, Hurricanes, Tsunamis, Cyclones and what have you
Okay, we admit it. The US regularly uses HAARP to cause all sorts of calamities in the world. All the governments of the world know this and can't do anything about it because it is TOP SECRET. The technology will never fall into enemy hands (just like the A-Bomb, the H-Bomb, and even advanced submarine propeller technology are still the exclusive domain of the US).
The US keeps secrets so well that not one person has come out to spill the beans on their part in 9/11.

Why should anybody want to grab a country that is totally impoverished and disorganized.

.....
What is going on in their brains? ...... Oh, I see. ..... Forget the last question, then.

Hans

Hmmmm yes why doesn't the US attack Luxembourg? Tiny army and the richest country in the world (per cap)

Oh god people think Haarp is really a zooper-secret weapon?............

The other Hans

grab the oil? what oil? if haiti had oil they probably wouldnt be the poorest country in the western hemisphere

Haitian Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive met yesterday in Montreal with diplomats, including U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, to discuss redevelopment initiatives. Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon said wind power may play a role in rebuilding the Caribbean nation, where forests have been denuded for lack of fuel, the Canadian Press reported.

You're right, it's a fake by the shill Jones.
The US is really after their wind.
Just watch.
One day sunny and breezy. Next day cloudy and doldrums.
Since 1604, the US HAARP doldrums.

Does the dolt think HAARP did it? Jones thinks the US caused, "generated" the Haiti earthquake.

... thermite is eating his brain slowly.

Or here you can see it...
at 7:07 or so; save some brain cells and let it load while you mow the lawn, fix lunch, do the dishes, write a play, build a computer, or something you like to do.

These guys are the personification of stupid.

They have seen "A View To A Kill " too many times.

As much influence as we have had in Haiti over all the years since the fall of Duvalier, we could have twisted the arms of their leaders to allow our oil companies dirt-cheap leases on any oil fields just to bring jobs into the country and stem the tide of illegal immigrants into Florida. Destroying their infrastructure would make the extraction of the oil that much harder, thus more expensive.

The reason our companies wanted the oil fields in Iraq is specificly that the oil is easier to extract and transport. Thus, even the oil-theft theory founders on the reef of cost v. profit.

i dunno... I'll let you know when I get there
she thinks I am a rock-star, on the edge

Poor Gage, he has an insane Jones who drank the Kool-aid, his own, and played with thermite too much.

Who is more insane, Jones or those who believe his lies...

Jones made up thermite causing the WTC collapse and now makes up more lies. He is a liar, a PhD who majors in BS.

Common guys give Alex some credit, he was thinking really scientifically on this one...

I thought it was a known fact that North and South America caused that earthquake. Along with the Cocos and Nazca Plates.

You at the Jref need to catch up. lolz

I think we should start maintaining a list of all the things HAARP can supposedly do.

We can keep it next to the list of things that are not a skyscraper yet can be used (according to the Froot Loop brigade) to model one.

OMG! I thought you were totally kidding! I started laughing when I read that! These guys are completely nuts!

The thing that is even sadder, are the little douchebags who follow Jones, spue his crap as gospel, and try to convince others of the same.

You would think that most sensible human beings would listen to him say stuff like the above, realize he is a ****ing lunitard, and refuse to believe anything he says on any subject period.

TAM:)

Steven Earl Jones a physicist who was fired for making up lies about 911; he went insane. Alex Jones took too many steroids and became a dirt dumb nut case, Steve went nuts 4 years after 911 from drinking thermate in his coffee.

A thermate latte, please, with some nano-sugar

This is actually an important point: The reasons the Middle East is known for petroleum production are
  1. It's easy to extract
  2. It's a very light, "sweet" crude that ends up producing quite a bit of the "money" distillates (gasoline, kerosene, diesel) than "heavier", more "sour" crudes.
Number 2 is irrelevant to this discussion, so 1. "It's easy to extract": It costs money to drill. It costs lots of money to drill deep. And it certainly costs lots of money to drill deep over water. Compare:
  • According to Arizona Geological Survey, Oil drilling in Arizona costs between $400,000 to $1,000,000, depending on the depth of the hole and its location.
  • Experts believe the deposit, in the Tupi field 180 miles off the southeastern Brazilian coast, holds up to 8 billion barrels of light oil and natural gas...
... Yet the find will challenge Petrobras' reputation as one of the world's best at exploiting deep-sea oil deposits.
... Drilling the first well alone cost $240 million, and tapping the Tupi deposit will require investing at least $5 billion at the outset, Llewelyn said. Petrobras controls a 65 percent stake in the deposit, with British company BG Group and Portugal's Gal Energia controlling the rest.
The comparison should only be taken so far; if you read the second link, you'll see that part of the problem is that they have harder "rock salt" to drill through. But the point remains: Over-water drilling is expensive.

Now, stop and consider the news of the potential oil in Haiti. Yes, I realize that the epicenter of this quake was on land, and that the fault does indeed run across land. But recall the geologist's speculation:

The Dominican Republic shares the island of Hispaniola with Haiti. It may have 3 million barrels of oil in a shallow offshore formation that’s probably also shared by Haiti, Pierce said.

It's closer, but is it really worth the effort and outlay? Would the distance Middle East crude be shipped really make it that much more expensive than drilling over water? That's the question, and in general, it's demonstrated to be cheaper to rely on M.E. oil than to drill in difficult areas.

Does this disprove the woo-tasms about the US supposedly occupying Haiti for oil? No. But it does provide context with which to judge the claim.

Psh! You guys clearly don't know about the US's crazy plan to randomly attack the world's poorest and most resource-starved countries in the world.

Clearly we did this to send a message to our 2nd biggest enemy (besides Haiti), the Solomon Islands.

Guess the Solomon islanders have forgotten how we kicked Japan's butt there (Guadalcanal,New Britain, Bougainville) during World War 2, and need a reminder.

There is that meandering thread in the regular Conspiracy section where it is alleged the US invaded Haiti to threaten Chavez in Venezuela. It's only slightly less crazy than this idea.
