I would imagine the answer to that question would be 7/11 and a school.

You said you've been a customer in those types of places, were you a danger to kids?

I don't see how either is going to intrinsically attract people who are a danger to your kids.

It's telling that you're against the free market/capitalism in this case. I guess pictures and videos of naked people, which hurt no one, are more dangerous than quacks refusing to dispense medicine to those in need.

I agree! I lived in a neighborhood with three churches within a block of home and church people are terrible people. My wife couldn't even wash my motorcycle in a bikini on a Sunday morning without all the nasty looks and comments!
 
Slight derail. I was in a (non-porn) video store once. I asked the woman behind the counter if they carried any foreign films. In an overly loud voice, barely masking her disgust, she announced to all and sundry, "We keep those in the back room! I replied, equally loudly, "Why do you keep foreign films in the back room?" Several people in the store laughed at her.

I have three churches less than a block from my apartment. The only problems I've noticed from them are a bit of traffic annoyance on Sundays.

So, would you object to having queers and freaks in your neighborhood too? What about all those darkies? 'Cause it's a demonstrable fact that areas where both groups predominate have higher crime levels.

I live within a very short walking distance of about at least two dozen bars and nightclubs, four porn/"marital aid"/fetish gear stores, and several liquor stores in the heart of the "gay/freak" district. Although we have at least our share of petty theft and vandalism, it's rare that I don't feel completely safe walking down the street.

The districts that typically have problems with child molestors, etc, are the more "traditional", quieter, even more affluent, ones. Because, as I'm sure everyone is aware, child molestors are most often someone well-known to the child, usually a relative or some sort of authority (eg. teacher).

Acccording to the article: "Baldwin's protest has come under scrutiny because of his own past roles in soft-porn movies. But the convert to Christianity says that is all behind him now." So, back when he needed the money, he was willing to whore himself out. But now that he's got enough money to do nothing all day except take pictures of people who can't get any better job than working at a porn shop, he's got no trouble going after guys who are just trying to make a living. Maybe he could contribute more to his chlidren's upbringing by, I don't know, actually BEING AT HOME rather than spending all day at a porn shop? Come to think of it, maybe this is all a cover. "Yeah, I was at the porn shop. I was... taking pictures of the workers for a shame campaign. Yeah, that's it."
