Merged So there was melted steel

Doubling down on the duhh. You were asked in the thread you fled for evidence of molten steel--and you posted pictures of crushed steel.

You're awfully smug for somebody who can't tell the difference.

When you're ignorant enough not to recognize that you've lost the war, there's nothing left but victory! :D

Its a Spoonerism.

...frequently quoted examples include:
Fighting a liar; and
You hissed my mystery lecture.

Both of those usually attributed to Rev. Spooner

Then, you didn't want a serious response did you. :D

Well, all I want is a proper definition of terms. Seems that there is more gas mileage gotten for argument dragging purposes with loose definitions lately. Some examples:

Thermitic
Molten
Melted
Steel, vs. metal
Truth

Why not throw bedunker on that list? That is, unless an enterprising OP writer feels like reaching into the steaming pile of undefinitions, dust it off and get down to some serious debating.

Here's another term to define: troll

A bedunker is a machine at mattress factories that plunges completed mattresses in a tub of flame-proofing solution so that the beds are resistant to molten steel. That no unburnt mattresses were found in the rubble of the WTC proves . . . err . . . nothing . . . or . . . something.

:th:

This looks like the last splutterings of a total truther failure, cnanot provide evidence, cannot logically explain things, so spin trash out like a nuetron star on acid.

Some of these arguments, of course, co-evolved, and some have also enjoyed varying returns to vogue. But it runs roughly chronologically since 9/11. Feel free to add your own:

"The steel columns melted." [media reports; expert commentary; PBS NOVA]

"The steel columns didn't melt. Building fires don't melt steel." [expert commentary; PBS NOVA]

"There was no molten steel. There were no reports of molten steel." [Thomas Eagar; NIST; John Gross]

"Reports of molten steel are all in error. There was no molten steel." [internet bedunkers]

"If there was molten steel in the pile it still tells us nothing about the collapses." [9/11 Commission Report]

"There was no molten steel because we have no pictures of it."[internet bedunkers]

"The pictures of molten steel are false/fake/don't show enough."[internet bedunkers]

"People who say they saw molten steel don't understand what 'molten' means." [internet bedunkers]

"There was probably no molten steel. Reports of molten steel are common in other fires. All reports of molten steel in fires are probably erroneous." [internet bedunkers]

"There was probably no molten steel, but even if there was it is plausible/would not be unusual because it is commonly reported in other fires." [internet bedunkers; NIST]

"Structural steel can deform in a highly fluid manner under compression." [JREF bedunkers]

"If there was molten steel: so what?" [JREF bedunkers]

;)

Do you really want to go down this path in this fashion ergo.
Shall we list the "evolution" of the truth movement?
Shall we speak of switched planes, faked phone calls, holograms and other no-planes, thermobaric bombs, nukes, space based beam weaponry, UFOs,)yes UFOs have been proposed and I am sure you know it)
Shall we mention the really bad applied physics of the Pilots for 911 Truth?

Do you REALLY want to try this path ergo?

Don't forget the most infamous of all, the aforementioned "moon-sized field of rubble" argument.

Don't forget the most infamous of all, the aforementioned "moon-sized field of rubble" argument.

At this point, the whole Truther movement is a moon-sized field of rubble. They probably only have 98.78 Truthers left. That's why the only tactics exhibited are misapplied engineering, science, and trollery such as this thread. What an ignominious end to an ignominious beginning.

So after being asked how molten steel supported the Truther argument, and being unable to respond, with people repeatedly shutting down his desperate attempts to reverse the burden of proof and evade the question, Ergo starts a new thread in an attempt to salvage his dignity and just ends up making things worse.

This reminds me of the "into/onto" fiasco.

I especially like how he doesn't provide sources for any of these quotes/strawmen, so readers can't get any of that pesky context stuff.

Yes, pretty much.

He was asking us to declare molten steel as a fact. So I restarted the thread in which the OP actually does grant, allow, concede, for the puroses of that thread, that molten steel existed in the WTC rubble.

However, ergo cannot be bothered to address that thread for some very odd reason. I commend only one truther who has made a foray into this topic, Mirage Memories.

What thread?

Oh, you mean what cjnewson calls the troll thread.

I am pretty sure you are aware of the fact that when CJN posted, it was a reply in a thread refering to the 'evolution of the debunker position on molten metal ' or similar, that has now been merged with this thread.

You continue to evade the question ergo, even though we have allowed, given you, conceded, that for the purposes of this thread we need not debate the existance of molten metal and will assume it did exist. That IS what you have been calling for in another thread. HERE it is, huzzah and hurrah.

MM gave it the ol' college try, and all you can do is practice the ol' troll slip n' slide.

Are you or are you not serious about the subject?

ergo, it looks like your OP and apparently "intentional attempt at nose tweaking"* thread got merged into the melted steel thread.
