SkeptiCrashing: Sylvia Browne at TAM!!

My guess is that she and her people aren't going to care if we're there. I'm sure security is pretty tight anyway. They'll be too busy herding the shills in and out and counting their money.

Some possibilities for the event:
  • You are denied entry, PZ Myers-Expelled style, before entering the theatre;
  • You are allowed to enter and the show proceeds as usual without any acknowledgement of you, or even knowledge that you are there;
  • You are publicly called out by Browne and hissed at by the audience;
  • You are recognised while in the audience, and asked to leave quietly;
  • You are recognised while in the audience, and brusquely ejected;
  • Something else.
I have no idea which it might be, but I am fascinated as to how it turns out. Good luck, guys.

Well, it happened!

I am trying to put together an article about it for the site, but, between catching up on my TAM-induced sleep deprivation and attending tonight's IIG Awards ceremony, I doubt that the article will get done until tomorrow. :(

Here is the big picture:

1. We saw the show.
2. I spoke with Browne.
3. I was escorted off the premises by Excalibur security.

You'll have to wait for the article for the details - with luck, it will be on the site tomorrow (Tuesday).

Nice!

I can't wait to get the full account of your story. I hope you escaped without a tasing or a full body cavity search!

SO SO AWESOME. I can't wait for details.

RSL, I usually go directly to your new articles to the links you post from here. But I notice that when instead going to the base link www.stopsylviabrowne.com, it takes me to the splash page, where I have to click again to hit the Home page, and then I have to search to find out where the latest posting is. (Ah, it's under Articles!)

It may not be obvious to someone who might be visiting the page for the first time, to think to go to the top for the links to the rest of the site. Maybe they'd just read the first page, think that's all there is, and leave. I'd at least suggest putting links to the last few articles in the column on the left of the Home page. Then when pulling up an article, they can see the links to the rest.

I can't wait for this one.

I am attending, but only under the agreement that we are not there to be disruptive.

I get email from people asking me if I have ever seen Browne in person. I am attending this performance primarily so I can tell these people that yes, I have.

I knew that was why you were going :). I had he same feeling when I crashed the taping: you have to be able to say you've seen her in person.

She's awful to see in person, isn't she? :D Boring, tedious, slow?

Or did you enjoy it more than I did?
