That's the sort of paraphrasing that earned Joseph Goebbels a living.

"I don't know about you, but I'm not ready to be extinct. And none of us wants to be. So we don't want genocide. We don't want to destroy the sacred institution of marriage." A.V.
...So she's saying that gay marriage will lead to human extinction. How is that any different from my paraphrasing?

Glenn Beck is reminding me of the Character of Dusty Rivers (Andy Griffith) in Elia Kazan's "A Face In the Crowd: more every day.
A lot of people in the GOP really love his "Teddy Rooosevelt is a Commie" bit though. No wonder the GOP for the most part is holding aloof from him. Please note the only major GOP figure in attendence was fellow Attention Whore Sarah Palin.
Three of the Countries biggest attention whores Beck, Palin, and Sharpton at one place on one time..wow, a miricle that DC did not implode from the egos.

Dr. Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King, Jr., spoke at Beck's rally. Al Sharpton could only get Eleanor Holmes Norton.

John Lewis would be a vastly more significant speaker than MLK's weird niece. Of couse, John Lewis, along with the rest of the actual civil rights establishment, has no use for this nonsense, so that wouldn't happen.

500,000 to 2,000,000.

I can find the methodology used to calculate the 87,000 number and the margin of error associated with it (9,000). Can you show me the methodology used to calculate any estimate over 600,000 people?

It would be nice if the numbers come out to be a huge amount of people, then the independants might notice how bad the disease has spread.

I think calling the 1,000,000 person figure an estimate is being generous. A Republican congresswoman pulled that number out of her ass.

"Washington officials do not make crowd estimates, but NBC News estimated the turnout at 300,000, while Mr. Beck offered a range of 300,000 to 650,000. By any measure it was a large turnout."

CBS's bases its 87,000 figure on airphotoslive.com. Yet these folks do not list crowd estimation in its list of services. It will take several days for a reliable figure to be generated. When it does, it will become apparent why airphotoslive.com doesn't specialize in crowd estimations from the air.

Just change a couple of words, and this could come straight out of the mouth of a Tea Party Fanatic.

Right. However, I think the independent voters really don't want an America where the Teabaggers are in control. Sharon Angle wants to privatize Social Security, get rid of the DOE and make abortion illegal in all cases, except for health of the mother. She's not the only extreme Teabagger in the GOP line-up this year and many of them have extreme views as well.

The Tea Party is extremely to the right, just where most independent voters do not want to be.

As I understand it, even that wouldn't be an exception in Angle's America.

As I understand it it airphotoslive took the pictures and then sent them to three different experts who came up with three figures the average being 87K with a 9K + or -.

If you want to criticize the methods used to arrive at the 87,000 figure then that is fine by me. However you still have not addressed the issue I raised. Can you provide any methodology or any valid reasoning that led to any figure over 600,000? I ask because you gave the most ridiculous figure of 2,000,000. Were you joking?

Another day, another DC Mall Crowd Controversy.
I don't blame the DC police and National Park officials for not wanting to make crowd estimates . When it is a political event, no matter what estimates they make they get blasted.
