Meh. Obama is President. He should expect to be insulted by idiots. If Ann Coulter had the guts to apologize to anyone, the first people on the list would be the wives of 9/11 first responders who she claimed "enjoyed their husbands' deaths."

This insult to Obama doesn't begin to plumb the depths of Coulter's trashiness.

I continue to have no idea why people pay any attention to her. She's a flamethrowing ego tripper. Her insipid pronouncements have never seemed genuine to me, I don't think she believes half the crap she says.

Could someone here tell me where this claim comes from? I keep see it repeated over and over on the Facebook and other message boards, but I never see a specific cite.

Especially interesting to me because I recall a President who told Navy Seals to stand down and not go kill OBL, the same President who later said he didn't care about OBL, who he previously declared "wanted dead or alive" with a pseudocowboy attitude.

That would be a start, if she wanted to redeem herself. But frankly, I don't care what Ann Coulter says, be they apologies or otherwise. The woman is a nasty piece of trash unworthy of consideration by decent people.

I remember when right-wing talking heads had their panties in a bunch because Obama was using the Black Eyed Peas "Let's get it started" at campaign rallies in '08. There is a line in the song "Let's get retarded." Oops.
 
I voted NO. Even though I think she's scum for using the term, the purpose of pointing out the dreadfulness of her using that term is basically a "teachable moment" and she should just never use it again.

Despite her snarky attitude I doubt she will. I hope others learn from this to be more mindful. That is what creates progress.

That being said. I don't see why Coulter's comments should offend mentally disabled people. However, what she did say was insulting and disgusting towards Obama and any thinking person (which would include mentally disabled people).

I like free speech. By allowing people to be rude and obnoxious we get to know who are the hateful idiots out there. Who are the idiots who can be easily manipulated to lie in order to further their careers.

Apology? Hell no because I think she is the equivalent of the carnival geeks that used to bite of the heads of chickens to amuse people. You will not likely find a more useful idiot. Those who go out of their way to further her silly insults are likely bigger idiots.

No, in the end she's sad and pathetic. Like the angry homeless woman with a shopping cart. She desperately needs attention and she only cares about herself. Fortunately there are enough idiots out there who will advance her cause to keep her in the headlines.
