Interesting. False, but interesting. If Sheehan were fasting FOR the continuation of the war, and used exactly the same means, I wouldn't say she was insane. It seems to me that her critics are the ones declaring her insane because they disagree with her opinions.

What exactly is your argument here? You asked a question and I provided an answer. Are you upset that anyone could conclude that Sheehan is nuts?

Here's some examples of unambiguously insane behaviors: Declaring herself queen of the potato people, and dencouning Robo-Bush as the tinfoil orange window alpha, then collapsing into a heap and foaming at the mouth.

Buying modern art. (That would be a joke right there.)

Stating that she is plauged by a swarm of invisible bees with screenplays for a new movie staring Michael J. Fox as Hercules.

Her ignorant statements, and unpopular opinions are not sufficent grounds to call her insane.

Exactly. There are many politicians I don't like, but self-declared enemies of the US are in a different category altogether. Kissing Chaves goes beyond being a grieving mother wanting to change US policy to actually embracing enemies of the United States. Excusing this behavior as grief induced insanity is the nice interpretation.

Accepted Jocko. Honestly, as much as we all disagree, have I ever claimed that Bill O'Rly? Rush Limbaugh, or any of those such idiots on the right are insane? Invariably, whenever Sheehan opens her mouth, stupidity follows, but if that's sufficent for a diagnosis of insanity, then we need to lock up every cable TV pundit.
