I'm putting this one in more as a superb example of lying than a traditional Stundie. RedIbis claimed he had a document claiming that the FBI had no evidence of what planes crashed on 9-11. When it was pointed out that his letter wasn't from the FBI, it was from the NTSB, he replied:
Because the letter must have been from both of them, presumably.

It's been quite a while since I've had a nomination. Here's hoping I take the prize. Especially since my offhand comment wasn't as far off the mark as you'd wish.
The NTSB letter was part of the FBI foi response. A simple error but one which you will no doubt get some pleasure out of, and will perhaps bring home first prize.
This speaks for itself:
The case agent stated that since the identities of the four hijacked aircraft have never been in question by the FBI, NTSB or FAA (evidence collected after September 11, 2001 has corroborated the fact that American Airlines Flight 11, United Airlines Flight 175, American Airlines Flight 77 and United Flight 93 were the aircraft hijacked), no records would have been generated responsive to plaintiffs request for documents.
Bolded for lapped up anti-skepticism and the source of my initial confusion. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
