I feel for the poor family. They didn't even post anything concerning this guy to begin with! He just blundered in, rearranged the furniture, and then followed them from ISP to ISP to force them to close the page! "Mind boggling" is an understatement.

The family involved was nice enough to send links to this brouhaha. I've heard from Alex Lucard. Horror writer Ramsey Campbell was nice enough to answer my email and point me in the direction of his own article titled "The Madness of Sean Manchester."

I guess during all this I was wondering how I could present this craziness from some point of view other than "gee, look at this woo-woo!" It's becoming a good example of how woo-woo delusions lapse into madness and eventually harm innocent bystanders.
 
Just so nobody gets the idea that this guy is original, the whole spelling dracula backwards thing was done in the video game series Castlevania. One of the heroes was named Alucard.

And just so nobody thinks the Castlevania series (I love you, my precious) did it first let's not forget Son of Dracula ca. 1943, though I'm not sure if even that was the first.
 
Well, as long as we've established that this is not a creative or interesting thing to do...
 
We have had many several years worth of dealing with Manchester. Not to mention God knows how many threats and blunders of Manchester suing us. I'd like to point out however that he never carries out these threats. We also have proof that he is not a valid bishop. We have a lot of information regarding the situation and we would be extremely happy to link up to you or provide relevant details. Are we allowed to post links on this site or can we include any links in messages on this thread. He has been on umpteen messsage boards and been banned on most if not all for harassing innocent members.

BTW: An overall question to the forum: Am I correct in remembering that Manchester was probably in business in the late 80'ties as well? I seem to recall an article on the Highgate vampire in a local "is it true?" publication which has long since died. AFAIR, they concluded that Manchester had probably been too close too often with LSD-like substances......
 
He's been around off and on since the original Highgate Vampire debacle. TV producers use him every 5 years or so as a sort of default nutter whenever their minds turn to doing vampire or occult-related freakshow "documentaries".
 
We know the bish of old and he runs his own church from BUNGALOW IN BOURNEMOUTH, we have never beeen able to find out where he holds his services or what he does other than hunt vampires!

Manchester seems pretty scary to me. I read his rant and the posts he made on Vampire's site and all I could think of was that this man needs professional help. He sounds mentally ill and I wonder if he has or would actually sink far enough to harm someone physically. And such people are more frightening because the seem to have no lack of followers.
As for the "Son of Dracula", I kind of remember that film and good old Count Alucard. I wonder if LeFanu's "Carmilla" counts for an earlier name-switch as it was explained in the novella that she had to use her own name "Mircalla" or other anagrams such as "Carmilla" and "Millarca."

If you click on the user-name of a poster to the left of their posts, a drop down menu appears, there is an options "send a private message to this user", you can put links in those private messages (PM).
Big Les offered to post links you send, as do I, until you get 15 posts that is, and you will be able to post them yourself.
