Scientists Can't Explain...

Doesn't ANYONE read my bleedin' posts... mutter, mutter, mutter...
WHAT PART OF "ADEQUATE" DID YOU NOT UNDERSTAND???

I understand quite enough:

Trying to get on topic, does a hawkmoth fly like a hummingbird?

IIRC the forces involved and the mechanics had been worked out quite well enough, thank you very much.

The following is from a twenty-five chapter Creationist tract on evolution "suitable for use in classroooms":
Scientists cannot explain why two atoms of hydrogen (a gas) combined with one atom of oxygen (another gas) will result in water (a liquid) or why one atom of sodium (a poisonous metal) combined with one atom of chlorine (a poisonous gas) will produce common, non-poisonous table salt.
Well aren't they stupid then? They should have read their high school science textbooks... but no...

Maybe they mean something different by "Scientists can't explain" to what we think they mean.

Maybe they mean every time a scientist tries to explain something to them they stick their fingers in their ears and sing "You can't make me learn things! You can't make me learn things!" very loudly.

Wouldn't that qualify as a scientist being unable to explain something?
