Mattituck resident Dot Faszczewski came face to face with the canine menace two weeks ago, when she was set upon by a group of crazed, hungry beagles as she walked her pet dogs near her parents' Orient Point home. She said it was like a scene from a werewolf movie.
The picture of the cute beagle puppies kind of deflects from the fact that the adult dogs are a fair size and perfectly capable of doing damage. They're a breed not noted for viciousness, but they are known for a complete, total and utter lack of brain. I wouldn't care to encounter a pack of the things that were doing what comes naturally.
