Rush Limbaugh has a heart attack?

What will it accomplish? Another nut will come along to take his place.

I don't think it's that simple. The crazy conservatives would someday find another leading voice, but that sort of thing takes time. And I doubt his listenership would suddenly just tune into X. No, the world would become a slightly better place.

Oh man...he is in Hawaii, and Obama is in Hawaii.

Remember Obama was in Hawaii last year when his grandma died suddenly.

Guess what - Obama is currently in this state where Rush is now.

I don't know what to make of this, honestly.

Another thing about Limbaugh's callers. They're idiots. Putting aside the moronic conspiracy theories, the kind of mass-action described above is something that routinely gets suggested, at least when I've pinched my nose and listened. A couple months back I recounted Limbaugh urging his listeners to steal candy from tricker-treaters, lecturing the boys and girls that their ("their") candy was going to get redistributed to poorer kids. "We only have eight days to get the word out!"

Sadly, it is not at all uncommon for those who claim to "love humanity" to hate numerous individuals who they declared counterrevolutionaries, er racists , er enemies of the people , er "genuinely dangerous people" -- meaning "people who dare to effectively present an opposing point of view to mine" -- and wish for their death.

I never in my life listened to Rush Limbaugh. I think his views are silly. But to wish for his death because he's an idiot? If that were a capital offense...

EDIT.

I get it now. I made a joking comment and then an actual nut came up with the same theory, but being serious.

That is really sad honestly.

It is. I really can't imagine living in such fear that every celeb death/injury/etc... has to be a plot by someone else.

ETA: And why is the death of a 86 year old person with cancer suspicious? Come to think of it, didn't Rush smoke for a long time?

I think in that case it was merely a case of people looking for a reason to justify their CT. Common sense would say that Obama is from Hawaii, and it just happens to still be a tourist Mecca.

I used to love listening to Limbaugh when I was doing delivery work. It was sort of like an exercise in critical thinking. It was also educational. His reporting was just as biased as you would expect but he had a knack for taking current events in politics and making it into an intriguing narrative. I could listen to him talk about the news of law-making for hours. I wish someone else would do that without the obvious ideological slant.

Also, Limbaugh is a Republican cheerleader first and a conservative second. Republicans were always right and Democrats were always wrong. If Republicans were doing something that was somewhat liberal or moderate, he would apologize for them and explain it away as something that was absolutely necessary.

With all of the things that Limbaugh is (being wrong about many things included), I cannot remember him ever wishing death on someone. Frankly, he is a vastly superior person compared to a number of posters in this thread.

It's really thought provoking to see the amount of people who wish someone dead because of their politics, also support government-controlled health care, and not just on this thread.

I wish I could call it surprising, but when one holds a view of an individual life as little more than a statistic and/or a spectator sport, neither perspective is all that unusual.

Even more chilling than the wish of a death is the message such a perspective sends out, be it intentional or unintentional.

#4. Liberals believe in taking care of his fellow man

I'm not sure if I want him to survive.

So which is it Parky??? You like to contradict yourself? When you say you want to take care of your fellow man, that means the people you don't like also.

I've never heard a conservative say they want a liberal talk show host with millions of listeners to die. Oh wait, there are no liberal talk show hosts with millions of listeners.

I think Rush just got his mandatory white man heart attack over with, now. While health care is still the best in the world. Before government health care ruins medical care and bankrupts the country. Smart move on Rush's part. A preemptive strike.

Ever heard of a conservative pray for a liberal's death?

Odd... When I read that part I hear Europeans laughing...
