RSL in hospital

Thanks for keeping us updated and thanks to whomever's keeping the topic in IRC up-to-date as well.

Sorry to be so late. This is horrible news. You need to take care of yourself, too. I hope Robert has the speediest recovery in history. You and he do mean a lot to us.

Hi. I just got back and read the news. My best wishes and hope for the best recoveries.

We're all here, and we'll be here. We're as close as the electrons can make us.

Add me to the list of those extremely happy to hear things are going "as expected", and that the damage areas are outside the "Robert"-ness zone.

His will is no small thing, and I expect him to be back sooner than many with his general prognosis. Best wishes sent your way!!

Cards, folks, cards. Everyone who offered to help, send a card. Make Susan rent a frickin' forklift to empty his snail-mail box. Right now it's the only thing we can do.

HEY SYLVIA, JOHN, JAMES, BENNY, PETER, KEVIN, ETC - ARE YOU LISTENING? IF ROBERT LANCASTER DOES NOT RETURN TO A 40-HR WORK WEEK, IT WILL MEAN HE'LL HAVE MORE TIME TO COME AFTER YOU! Maybe you should be praying alongside all of those praying for a full recovery!

Wow! Susan, when I read this, tears sprang to my eyes and I just wanted to sing. Thank you for the update...and for the extremely optimistic interpretation of future possibilities. Wa-hoo! : )

That's great news. Thank you for keeping us updated, Susan. I hope we as a community can be half as supportive of you as you clearly have been of Robert.

BUT THEN HE WILL COME HOME!!!!!!

I can barely imagine what hearing this and the other good news in your post must have felt like.

I hope the next few weeks/months go as well as they can for you both; it sounds as though - given the circumstances - they've got off to as good a start as they could have done.

The part suggesting Sylvia etc should be wishing for him to make a full recovery made me laugh - you really are his other half, aren't you? :)

It is good to hear that the news is better than feared and I too am awed by your spirit and your strength. Though I do not know you or Robert as the others here do, I have been impressed by his work and now very much by you as well. You are an inspiring pair. I hope the news continues good and that your partner will be home even quicker than you believe. Good wishes to all of your family

I haven't really had any forum exchanges with Robert, but the outpouring of support here says all I need to know about his character. RSL's better half - Susan - your optimism and courage and spirit is overwhelming. It will do wonders for his recovery to have people like you at his side.

I offer you both all of my best wishes.
