There seems to be something of a consensus along these lines, but that consensus doesn't include me. FWIW, I like Rosie. She makes me smile and I'm always a little happier if I see her on TV.

I do agree with the other consensus in this thread, that is that Rosie went way off the deep end on this. I thought Kelly handled Clay's rudeness in a fairly reasonable way. Like a lot of guys I think I might have told him to take his GD hands out of my face or I'll do it for him. I suspect that a lot of guys would have reacted like that which is why I doubt he would have done it to a man.

Although this is a stretch, the incident reminded me a bit of how I feel about some of skeptic's posts. Skeptic, IMHO, has written some of the most thoughtfu,l well written posts in this forum, and all of a sudden, based on nothing that I can see he is going off on somebody because he thinks they're being antisemitic.

Damn I hate to disagree with you on this one (I have a t-shirt that says "Just one more reason why K-Mart sucks" and it has a picture or Rosie Odonell on it) but I've come to the belief that no one is crazier than Ann Coulter. Close, I'll give you that.

I just don't see it. I think she's funny and charming and caring. Comparing her to Ann Coulter just seems ridiculous to me. Nothing that O'Donnel has said in the years that she has been in the public eye would be rermotely similar to the vitriolic, dishonest crap that Coulter exudes every time she opens her mouth.

At the very least, O'Donell comes across as sincere in her beliefs even if you don't agree with her. Coulter is just a partisan harpy who doesn't have a thoughtful bone in her body when it comes to evaluating an idea beyond its value in advancing her partisan agenda.

I just see her as crazy. She has said some remarkably idiotic things. I think she is at her best when she avoids politics and controversy.

OK, so why doesn't this same line of thought apply to Ms. Garafalo? I really enjoy this woman. I have enjoyed her movies, I have enjoyed the TV she's been on, I have enjoyed listening to her on the radio but she is just about the most partisan individual in the world. She takes the Republican's eat babies rhetoric to a whole new level. And yet RandFan remains silent about Ms. Garafalo's strange musings. What gives here?

Is it possible that RandFan's view of a woman's ideas are effected by something other than the quality of the woman's discourse?

Inconsistency. I've never denied that Garafalo has said some crazy things. Here defense of Scientology being the worst and let's face it, she is a liberal. I think that says all that one can say. ;)

Seriously, for one moment, I think Garafalo's elevator goes a bit higher than Rosie's (I'm speaking intellectually) but that's just my opinion.

Yes, but at the end of the day Rosie is crazy and was a spokesperson for K-Mart which was just one more reason why K-Mart sucks.
