With single payer, universal healthcare (not insurance corporate welfare) in place, that would indeed be the case.

Companies weren't providing health insurance because the government demanded they do so, they were providing it to attract and maintain employees. If the basic health and general welfare needs and requirements of our citizens were being met through public services, such corporate obligations and expenses would be unnecessary.

Right. Nationalize it. Medicare for all, cut out the for-profits and simplify everyone's life.
