Based on what I'm seeing at InTrade, he imploded.

He has not yet achieved "Pariah" status; that will be reserved for after the election, when the Republicans historically turn on and consume their own.

I'm predicting a repeat of their excuses in 2008. "We knew we weren't going to win so we ran a second rate candidate on purpose..."

Well you do have to wonder if the Romney superpacs are going to flush millions down the drain or shift to supporting Congressional and Senate candidates?

Really. The first rule of using a crisis like this for political advantage is to make sure that you do not look like you are using a crisis like this for political advantage.You have to be subtle about it. Romney does not have a clue.

Obama's been rather quiet on the Mittens front outside of that schoolmaster rebuke. Either he's missing a trick or he's being one hell of a cool cat.

Concede 2012 and work to get a 2016 candidate who's neither evil nor stupid. They may have to go far back in their history to find an example, but they don't have much chance until then.
