Romney Becoming A Pariah Over Libya Attack Screw-Up

His problem is that he's been attacking virtually everything, every day, with lies. If he does manage to catch a real gaffe, he's ruined his credibility and no one will be listening. That's the price you pay for debasing yourself to win quick media cycles.

This ^^

But you left out that it is about as stupid as it gets.

Really. The first rule of using a crisis like this for political advantage is to make sure that you do not look like you are using a crisis like this for political advantage. You have to be subtle about it. Romney does not have a clue.

That's what I was thinking. Once you've thrown "He's not a citizen" and "He's a Muslim" at him, you can't have too many weapons left in your arsenal.

If he doesn't debate, he might as well give up. He's behind and sinking and he needs some kind of game changer. Debates are the best hope left for that. Not much of a hope maybe, but what else has he got?
Vote buying?

Unbefreakinleivable. Not only is is response a lie, but when Americans are killed by a terrorist attack, Mitt's first thought is, "How can I turn this to my political advantage?" That is about as slimy as it gets.

Two words:

Douche

Bag

Does anyone know whether or not this has had any kind of influence on polling, etc? I'd be really interested in knowing just how much this has hurt Romney.

His constant attacks reek of desperation. He is trying to turn this into his Iran hostages moment. It is failing because he is not hitting Obama on real foregin policy mistakes.

I've been wondering the same thing myself. I think there are always about three days lag time between a significant event and the polls that show the effect of that.

I suspect, though, that it won't cause much shift. There's only a tiny percentage of voters that are still in play.

First we have:

Then SkepticGinger posts her death tolls to try and get a partisan advantage, and we get:

No doubt

Well there's one of your problems. The other is that it wasn't anywhere near the 'first thing' for Ginger or Tricky.

SkepticGinger is not running for political office. Do you understand why that makes a difference?

Nothing to do with SkepticGinger. I was highlighting what I saw as your hypocrisy. YMMV.

A quote blatantly, dishonestly out of context.

Not dishonest at all.

Tricky is against using dead Americans for political point scoring. Then he's for it.

No one else was going to break ranks and point it out.

So me approving of SkepticGinger telling a truth in order to make a point on an internet forum, yet not approving of Mitt Romney telling a blatent lie in order to win the presidency is evidence of MY hypocrisy?

Your milage is truly unusual.
